I am trying to read all the threads on crankhub issues and mods..

are numbers of cars with crankhub issues too low for any meaningful conclusions?
any fixes for the 2018?

what other issues are there with a stg 1 tune?

what are the best sounding exhaust option?
can you lower a car with adaptive susp option? is the adaptive susp a must have option?

1. I'm biased, but the MPE on my M4 sounds pretty damn good!

2. I have the M Adaptive Suspension and the Dinan "Coil-over" Suspension System (really just HAS) lowered the recommended 0.5". Others with the same suspension, and with other springs/suspension systems have gone lower. Not a "must have", but a pretty good option unless you plan on going with full coilovers, like the KW V3.

I can't address the questions regarding any tunes (not yet anyway) or the crank hub issue, although the ones I have read about appear to have happened on heavy modded cars or driver error.

But in regards to exhaust, as the other person had mentioned, the M Performance Exhaust brings a smile to my face whenever I drive my car. It's pretty awesome and I can only imagine how much more when my Fabspeed secondary cat delete x-pipe gets added to it.

I have the M Performance Height Adjustable Suspension which was designed for the adaptive suspension. The ride is simply incredible and combined with my other aesthetic mods make the car look so much more amazing!

The question regarding any must haves is subjective just like the exhaust as I think the car sounds pretty good as it comes. I recommend springing for the ZCP (competition package) as the base and then modding from there because I wish I knew about some of the features (like the extra throttle overrun) before I had purchased my car.

No issues with stage 1 tune

Lots of good exhaust options, it depends on what kind of sound you are looking for
