It will be 8 weeks tomorrow since my order was accepted and wheels are not ready yet. So much for the 4-6 week lead time.

I voted BBS based on the tire sizes. The HRE tire sizes are too staggered. Also BBS is GOAT and an extra 10lbs+ of unsprung mass reduction is awesome

The HRE R101LW are just as light, I will take pictures once I get them.

We've been quoting 8 week lead times for 1-piece wheels for the last 3 months due to our new construction. Sorry if you heard otherwise, but that's what we've been saying to our dealers for a while now. Once construction stops and the new machine is fully integrated into our production line, then we'll certainly see much lower lead times.

Good thing R101's are custom made to order so you can just select 10.5" rears if you want instead of the 11". All of us know BBS is amazing, no doubt about it, but if you requested your wheel to be half an inch wider or smaller than what they produce, they won't. On the other hand, we most certainly can

Looking forward to it! The R101LW's will weigh less than the R101 weights you put up in your original post

Here is a iPhone pic with one of my buddy on the forum. Not the best pic, but both wheels are great you can't go wrong with either.

A few more physical pieces to the puzzle and I'm sure some more programming and we should be good to go. We're of course pushing for the soonest as possible.

You should cancel your order, get your deposit back and get a set of HRE R101LWs. You can customize the offset as well to an extent.

The LW is the one I was thinking about. Didn't know initially there were 2 of these wheels.

Is the R101 and R101LW the exact same design?

Yes, same design but the R101 Lightweight, but we put it on a diet, and is only made for specific makes and models where as the R101 we could make for almost any 5-lug or centerlock vehicle.

More brake clearance up front for CCB is the biggest reason.

Second reason is custom offsets for wider tires, more aggressive concavity, and fitment

I did but they probably assumed if they tell me 8 weeks, as communicated by HRE, I may pursue other venues.

Wow, I'm too impatient to have to wait that long and pay that much.
