Which lot exactly? I think the map in the first post is pointing to a private parking lot for the people who rent slips at Burnham Harbor. Are we talking about the lot next to the Meigs terminal building?
(or the Adler planetarium lot?)

It's not gated and no permit parking signs either. It has parking kiosks where we can pay kind of like street parking. It's used mostly by people who use the trails behind the lot, but it's usually pretty empty.
