I think what gets me more than everyone wanting to race is why do people feel compelled to rev their engines when they pass by? Damn that's beyond annoying!!

But the last thing that tried to run me was a Jag F-type and after I beat him he looked angry at me...I didn't even start it!

Tesla's are the new Ford F-250s - lots of guys wanting to race. Don't get me wrong, the fast Tesla's are seriously fast - but a) if you're driving a Model X, relax, and b) your main advantage is from a dig. Stop trying from a roll ?

It also depends heavily where you live I think. I live in Miami and I'd say once every 2 or 3 days you have someone revving and wanting to give it a go. The circumstances have to be perfect for me to follow suit and obviously the vehicle they're driving if it's worth the go.

Get challenged weekly, sometimes daily within some weeks during my weekly commute.

It just useless half the time. I used to engage more when I had just gotten my car but as of late I just don't really care anymore.

For one, half of them just aren't even a challenge. Yes, please give me a speeding ticket/hefty fine/possible impound to satisfy my need to prove I can beat a Honda Accord lol.

Two, the traffic is so terrible it makes zero sense to drive like an idiot and weave in and out of a heavily congested interstate on public roads to keep up with the dude who thought it was cool to blast by me. By the time I go full WOT I'm barreling into the car in front of me or instantly breaking.

Three, there are a lot of decent fast cars these days. 400ish hp isn't really leaving any modern performance car in the dust regardless and there are plenty of quicker cars than the M3/4 in the straight.

But I do still engage from time to time. Why not, I bought an //M after all.

Owned the car for 6 weeks with paper plates and had zero attention what so ever. Took my car for the break in service with the actual plate installed yesterday and had 2 ppl wanted to race me on My way back home from work. A GLE63 and A 330i...? I guess the actual license plate is more aggressive than the car itself lol.

GLE 43 and C 43 are the worst.

Gentleman's go at it with my buddies C5Z06 with I,E,H,cam and tune. We ran before when I was stock and he pulled on me by about 3 or so car links. Now, I have a stage 1 tune so had to "verify" it. We go from about 60 roll and after several runs it's close, but I probably have him by about a half car. Good fun though!
