Saw this car today at the NYIAS and it really looked amazing in person. Prior to this I thought the M4 was a better looking car but not anymore. The rear fenders on the M3 just looks down right sexy. It looks more muscular than the coupe and I can't wait to see it with proper wheels fitted. The stock wheels looks weak IMO...

Looks fantastic! Is it just me or the M3 looks meaner & sexier than the M4?

Is this a special color? I've never seen a silverstone II color in a bmw configurator

No, it's not a new colour. IIRC, it has been offered since the E39 M5.

It is a colour exclusive to ///M models though... Might be why you have not seen it on configurators.

My first E92 M3 was silverstone...so plain...silver cars are, well...silver, what else can you say...no personality imo... it needs a color which pops but YMMV...
M3 looks indeed more aggressive than the M4, but the M4 is more stylish... sigh, I'll take the more aggressive ...

agree 100%

I don't need a loud colored car, i prefer the sleeper status monster driving around, the looks on people's faces when they realize what your "3 series" can do are priceless

I would however go with sakhir orange seats with black contrast stitching and vice versa so the dash, I have fox red right now and it give the interior an exotic feel

Agreed... however, the $75 cost for the painted reflectors is a small price to pay in comparison to the ludicrous price for foreign cars in nearly every other country.
I love it

Ice Ice baby! CF roof and performance grill/gill's, good to go. Lowest maintenance color too, it hides the dirt so well.

We can hope. But sadly I don't think it is too realistic. I think it is telling that most of the concept design drawings BMW included with the official photos at product release for the sedan, coupe and wagon did not include the eye-catching (and not in a good way) production hoodline. I would be reluctant to ever draw that line myself. Unless it was to show how it was being eliminated by extending the hood forward to the grill.

But yes, I also know that the production design is intended to avoid hood damage/replacement in minor front end collisions, and with so few people complaining about the aesthetics, the pull of lower damage claims is almost certain to win out.

It would be nice however if they could at least make the shutline less pronounced?

Not going to happen. You'll have to wait for the Gxx series cars for the hoodline to go away.

If SSII isn't quite your fancy, it looks like Moonstone will be offered as in Individual option.

Here's a pic comparing Moonstone to Silverstone II. Moonstone being the car in the top/left of the picture.

I need to see moonstone in person. I like the color but in some pics it looks to have hints of brown which I don't like.

Since Moonstone is an Individual color, may be tough to see in person.

I think it looks rather good, in pics. Not quite white, but not quite silver either.

I assume it would be ~$2000 upgrade since it's one of the "official" Individual selections. I wouldn't mind spending the money, but I think I'd be better off putting the money towards a paint upgrade into the M-Performance exhaust, instead

The "individual" colours such as Moostone are the same price as the other "standard" metallic colours here in Canada. Maybe you will get lucky and it will be the same in the US

Why on earth are they wasting a colour choice with Pyrite brown??!' I'm not saying nobody will choose it but it will not sell well at all. Are BMW deliberately offering poor colour choices on this car to make people opt for a real individual colour?!?!

Silverstone is starting to grow on me though!!

Nice photos!
I was there too!
In regards to interior however, I've to disagree...
I think this new updated interior is far more superior to previous generation...

Everything is just perfect in new interior, even the fact that the two M buttons are on the left side of steering wheel, instead of one M button on right side... One more clever move by BMW designers...
In E92 I've always found it odd and impossible to be pressing M button and trying to shift gears, just not possible to do it seamlessly all with one hand... but now, right hand stays on gear nob, left flips the M button... Two M buttons!!!
