I unfortunately took a deposit on it on Saturday with my client trading in his Shelby GT350 and his Challenger SRT Hellcat. He is supposed to take delivery next week but I will let you know if anything happens. I still have my White GTS for sale at MSRP.

these dealers selling below msrp, blocks many private owners to gain profit and will make it hard for it to rise the value of these gts.
Sure reviews like this didn't help

Want real reviews? Check all European reviews about the gts. Actually the rest of the world's reviews. The gts has gotten rave reviews from real sports cars magazines (sport auto, evo, etc) Guess who funds car magazines in the US? GM, Ford and Chrysler. This reviewer's favorite cars? Camaros and mustangs.
Clarkson is another example. Trash BMW's top car and get ratings! Worked for them.

Is the white one on the website? I only see the FG if I do new inventory - sort by price.

As can be seen on another hot subject, Bimmerpost posters ignore European reviews. Likewise, Europeans are not buying US Delivered Cars. As thus, as I stated, there are reasons the above MSRP price did not hold in USA, with reviews (or postings like that, which is one of the Top Google Search hits, btw) such as what I posted.

My post was not to bring judgement on the car, only to help answer the question why the premiums did not hold.

The market is never wrong...and the market has spoken as to price.

As you can see...all resales at above $200,000.

Europe and Australia all sold right away. Those are resales. People trying to make a buck at asking prices up to $250,000.

I hear you and I do agree with your analysis but BMW created this situation more so than the reviews by dumping another 100 cars on the market in the middle of winter.
They will sell by spring though and we will see prices going back up again.

The only unknown is the M4 CS coming out in July. If it come out without water injection and a lot less power, we are going to see gts prices jump up. In that case it will be the first and only car of this generation with that technology and will become a lot more collectible.

Agree on number of factors, such as additional 100 car dump.

That's why I stated that "review" didn't help. It wasn't the only reason. Clarkson's comments didn't help either. .

If cars are really selling for €200k+ in EU, there would be people buying in USA at MSRP (or less) and shipping them back for a big payday.

Ain't going to work... there's import tax and the specs is different between NA and EU. Not as simple as you think.

Well, I know someone that did it for a certain high end/priced Porsche. It was very easy.

As the parts were virtually all from EU, the import tax was inconsequential. It's not like you are shipping a car made in Detroit or Japan to EU.

I don't know about anybody else, but I had to sign a BMW agreement that I could not export the car for 1 year. The China market will be calling soon!!

(PS - I brought mine to C&C this morning, and there was literally a crowd around it trying to get a look that lasted for the entire hour I was there!!)

Signed an agreement to not ship my M3 to China...The finance guy said this is a new law. Has nothing to do with the model its for all high end cars.

I don't know about a new law, but I do know that BMW NA has withheld allocations for cars to Dealers who knowingly sell cars for export.

I ordered a Frozen Grey GTS via the voucher and the car arrived in New England late last week. Due to personal reasons, I will not be purchasing the car. It is now available at sticker from the dealership.

If anyone is interested, feel free to send me a message and I will forward the CA contact information.

Totally off topic but I know a Harley dealership who lost their entire franchise for letting an exporter jump the queue for rare Harleys. Cash buyer then shipped them to China/Asia. The quick buck turned into a death sentence in a hurry.

Open Road BMW, Ridgedale, NJ - just saw it, MSRP $134k for sale.

In person, and looking at all special parts, really does look special. Not sure if it's $134k special, but special nonetheless.

Never had to sign anything like that when I got my M4 GTS.

Granted, I'd impose that rule on myself out of principle and respect for the dealership that trusted me with this allocation.

If there is any one interested In a new delivery miles mineral grey PM. I know of a person that recieved an allocation locally and decided the car was not for him. Selling at msrp or at least very close to sticker from what he said, not in it to make money just looking to come out even.
As a GTS owner my self I can say is a great car.
