Fabspeed vs. Dinan

I'm eying a couple of used options. I've watched every video and read every thread. I like how the dinan has a deep rumble. The Fabspeed sounds a bit more mid toned, remember there's only a couple of videos so hard to tell.

But the dinan is axle back that requires cutting. The fabspeed includes the mid pipe which would be bolt on I'm assuming. Also the fabspeed should offer better performance and flow since its mid pipe.

Since my car is a lease I'd prefer to not cut.

I really like the F80 but the fact is it sounds terrible. Hopefully one of these 2 options will help to get it to at least sound decent.

So is the fabspeed bassy / rumbly or more high pitched. Ready to pull the trigger soon to get some decent sound!

Yeah, AWE looks great but nothing used right now. So its down to Dinan or Fabspeed. I'm leaning towards the Fabspeed so I get the x pipe and don't have to cut the stock exhaust.

The Dinan system sounds fantastic in person, you won't be disappointed. Also has great resale value for when the time comes, along with the Dinan warranty.

The Dinan setup is great but for an "axle back" you'll need to add the midpipe to really get a tone comparing to Fabspeed.
I think this is part to why Dinan released the midpipe..its what everyone wants.
In my opinion I don't think any exhaust sound great without a mid pipe replaced.

Our system is definitely the better option. Not just because I work here but I really do think our system is the best sounding on the market for the F8x's. It's going to give you the best of each option - best sound and most power.

Thanks for the info. I wish you guys had more / better videos to hear some sound. If it sounds as good as you say, you would probably sell more exhausts

Doesn't Dinan's Axel Back has two fake tips?

I been wondering about this, never really confirmed it in person but I was told about it.

All 4 tips are functional on the Dinan exhaust. When valves are open all 4 tips are receiving flow. When valves are closed the inner tips alone are active.

Awesome! Is Fabspeed 2 1/2 inch diameter or 3?

Who did your work?
