If you press Menu while the tile page is up (what I consider the main menu page) a row of recently accessed items appears at the bottom of the screen.

The buttons on the back seat of the M4 don't work if the corresponding door is not open

I learned that I can chirp the tires well into 5th gear if I'm Not careful, so much power. Then again I've only had the car for 2 days so I'm sure I'll learn a lot more

An example: It is sometimes convenient to let the car warm-up before loading up the family when the weather is in deep freezing territory. I can let the engine run to warm up the cabin, go back in the house to dress-up the kids and have the peace of mind that people wont have ready access to the car's interior .
I also like when the neighbors hear my exhaust while I'm having breakfast.
I like the fact that I keep my valves open all the time, and my car still isn't the loudest in my neighborhood.

Wow this is great. Was the car locked and the trunk sensed the key and allowed you to open it? Or was the car unlocked?

I'll have check this (but have the rear seat folded down just in case).

I was meaning to update my post but I am pretty sure this is not a feature. My trunk just likes to open by itself after closing. Not sure why but it is doing it more often as of late.

It is a feature, the car will not lock the key is inside.

I bet it latches just fine if you use your hand to push it all the way down, as opposed to slamming it?

In that case, adjust the trunk stoppers (screw them in) to allow the trunk latch to engage without compressing the stoppers. In the winter, the rubber trunk stoppers get less flexible, and require more force to compress.

On a related note - the trunk hinge spring, that pops it open once unlocked, needs occasional adjustment to make sure it can still raise the trunk lid. Either the dealer or myself mess with it about once a year to get the trunk to open just by unlocking it. Very handy if kids are running to the car and you want to open the trunk for them to deposit the loot.

The M Performance Exhaust is:

1. worth the money even at $8.6k
2. an anti-social mod
3. borderline provocative with all the the cracks/ pops/ snaps as gas is cut.

I always think I'm being antisocial enough when I just put the car in all Sport modes and leave somewhere with the stock exhaust. But I sure enjoy it.

I learned after 14 months and 5 days that the brake lights stay on at an intersection, or stopped, until the gas pedal is pressed and the car begins to move. I cannot be sure but seem to think the lights also do something special like flash several times, when the brakes are applied ferociously.

The flashing several times has to be coded in I believe.

on DCT I thought brake had to be pressed to get car into gear. This is so only if car is stationary. If car is already moving forward it can just be tapped into forward gear

True, and it could be confusing at times. Couple times when I try to merge into traffic from standing still, but when stepping on the pedal only to find the car in neutral. So the engine roars, oncoming cars approach, car behind me honks, and I flip the gear to D, nothing!

This is because of the hill start assist. When hill start assist is active your brakes are still applied, hence brake lights on. And no your brake lights don't remain on until the gas pedal is pressed. They'll turn off after ~2 seconds when hill start assist disengages and your car is now effectively in neutral and can roll.

When the indicator lever is pulled all the way down or up, you can stop the blinking by tapping it once in the same direction as you would for a burst indication. Until last week, I thought the only way to stop the blinking was to gently move the indicator lever to the opposite direction. Often times I would move the lever too far and it would start blinking the other direction confusing the heck out of other drivers. Probably the best discovery for me so far.
