Been waiting all winter for these ED tours. I am a sucker for living vicariously thru those who are so lucky to do ED. Can't wait for your pics. Enjoy, and wish you safe travels.

May 23rd 1pm.

It's 4am now and going through the annoying first night of 3am wake up. Counting down the hours of Dallmyr opening for coffee and a chocolate croissant.

Put some more pictures up too.

Outstanding. Enjoy!

PS: my wife wasn't a beer drinker either until she came with me on our first ED back in 2008. Now, fridge is always stocked with something German or Belgian.

Excellent reasons for not getting the Competition Package, but wheels should have been reasons #1 and #2........just sayin

Originally, the wheel was the only reason for me not getting the comp package, they were not growing in me. After seeing more pictures of the wheel on the F80, decided to get it and added it just a day before car entered into production. Hope it will look good in person.

Had a great time at the Welt. Even met one of the workers who helped build my car. He was visiting Munich with his son.

Am now at the Ring after 5hrs of very spirited unlimited Audubon driving (I hit 160 multiple times but still kept revs below 4500... mostly).

Posted car pictures. Such an awesome experience so far.

Does anyone know if I can remove the euro map USB so I can load my music off my USB then replace the map USB after? For some strange reason there is no 2nd USB in glove.

I remember reading it shouldn't be removed, but then rethink I read that was just with older cars. Dealer person said "it should be ok to remove it". Annoying he installed it first considering the only question I had from the start was to load my music in.

Yep.

FYI... No matter what the Nav didn't remember last destinations, so keep them handy, just in case.

Happened even before we loaded music. Was kinda a pain, a few times we found other places to stop in between.

Had to rekey destination.

Yes you can remove it and they will just reload when u plug it back in (unless the usb decided to act up . . I'll write about that later). Just make sure the car is off when u plug it in.

EDIT-One more thing. Furka will open june 6th and grimsel opens june 19th. I realise now why they open so late, It snowed yesterday as we were driving through Switzerland and Austria. San bernardino pass though is open(you would be going through it to go to lake como), i drove it a couple of days ago when it was sunny. Just make sure you check the weather before you go. Stelvio pass is also closed too.
