I had the Satin Black Poly and after a while the areas that bolt to the car started to crack under stress. Then after going about 100 mph on the highway to pass a dump truck dropping rocks the lip bent (flexed) down hitting the road and then cracked under the car. I emailed them about what happened and never heard back. Funny thing is my car is pictured on their website with the lip. Not happy

^ Same thing happened to me. I got out of my car and when I looked back it half the lip was missing. I contacted Status Gruppe and they were kind enough to send me a brand new one no questions asked.

Use the oem screws to get things lined up and tap the corners by the wheels first as the lip should be flush there on both sides. Self tapping screws tend to leave some built up plastic between the lip and bumper on initial install. After/during I would suggest to unmount lip and trim with razor blade and re-mount to help be as flush as possible. |

I had the CF 1x1 version of this lip. It's a good looking lip. After about 6 months, I moved on to the M-Perf poly lip.
I would do the SG lip again but probably poly version. Keep in mind that this lip mounts to the bumper cover. Although it lines up perfectly with the OEM holes, the lip isn't meant to be a true aero splitter. I went about 100 on it and it held up fine, but it will probably tear off if you take it at really high speeds. |
