Negotiating Sale Price on 2016 M4
Hey guys, my 335 was totaled back in December and I've been deciding what I want to get into next. I changed my mind about 5 thousand times but finally decided to do an M3/M4. A local dealer has a new 2016 M4 with an MSRP of 83,145. I emailed the dealer and they were willing to sell the car for 72K. They have it listed on their site for 75,464. I am eligible for a bunch of different discounts and incentives, however I'm not sure which of these would be the best or they can be stacked. Here is a list of what I qualify for as far as the incentives/discounts go.
1500 Option Credit New Grad Discount BMW Loyalty Dicount USAA Pricing Corporate Fleet Discount through employer I was wondering what incentive or incetiveS i should utilize. I would like to be below 800 a month which I think is doable. Here is what I was thinking of going into the dealer with and seeing if they'd accept my offer or counter offer. MSRP - 83145 Sale Price - 70000 ( this could be quite a stretch, but figured if they were willing to do 72k without much negotiation over email they would be willing to accept 70) Down - 0 however if it makes a huge difference i can put up to 5k down upfront - just figured that a down payment on a lease is not that huge a deal. MF - .00134 Residual - 59% Term - 36 months @ 10K Tax - VA 4.25 (VA requires tax on full price of car up front) Thank you for any assistance. I ran these numbers through LeaseHackr's calculator and it came out to 768 a month - again not sure if i'm delusional with my numbers or if it's realistic.

I mean $800 does seem doable; however that 2016 is about to be considered 2 years old once the '18's start hitting the streets in July.
I feel you can do better on price. For reference I got my custom ordered '17 M4 for almost $10K off including similar incentives. I would expect to get a lot more off a '16..... |

Oh wow, I'm surprised to hear that lol. I'll shoot for more if you think there's a better deal to be had. The worst that can happen is they say no lol. Thanks for your input. If you don't me asking what incentives did you use? did they allow you to stack them - use corporate fleet and usaa or another one.

The rebate incentives get added to the deal as cap cost reduction (not paid by you), but that is how they will show on the contract. What "loyalty discount" are you talking about right now? I was under the impression that (except for 5 series), current loyalty discount is a waiver of up to 3 payments on an expiring lease. Any other "loyalty" discount is likely coming from the dealer locally (so therefor meaningless in my book, as dealer "loyalty" discounts can usually be achieved by anyone through negotiating). |
