M3 F80 ZCP LCI 2.0, San Marino Blue

Had a M3 F80 ZCP LCI 2.0 on order in Tanzanite.... however since ordering the car BMW released the option of black wheels. Thinking the Tanzanite will look a little heavy with the black wheel option which I have had updated....so colour change requested and accepted.....thanks Mo @ BMW Melbourne!!

M3 should look amazing in San Marino Blue against the carbon roof and black 20" Competition Wheels.

Have also gone with the blue stitching against the black leather.

April Build :-)

Much better choice I say. Didn't want to discredit your color choice in the other thread but I find Tanzanite a little 'bland'(Not that it's up to me or my business :P).

On the other hand, SMB will look amazing! Great move.

Tanzanite is far from bland! Azurite maybe, but not Tanzanite. Regardless, SMB is awesome!

I've got an April build slot for mine also, though am still undecided on color.

At the moment i'm simply going AW/SO to keep it simple, but i'm really not sure.

We also have a new Black/Black GLC in the garage so i'm thinking of being more bold.

Top options I am considering switching to are;

MG/SO
MG/SS
SB/SS
Grigio Telesto/B
Grigio Medio/B
Laguna Seca Blue/SS

I'm hoping to avoid a black interior though, and fear an all black car.

This car already feels like a lot of heat coming through from behind the dash I have to have air con on even in the low 20s

I'd hate to have a black interior with carbon roof, would be a hot box

Yup, I've noticed the increased heat from the black/black GLC.

And lack of ventilated seats doesn't help!

Ok, so another colour option is on my list.

Fire Orange/Black

I want to do something special with this car, but I'm struggling to swallow the additional individual cost.

I'm assuming San Marino runs 8k with LCT?

Try a interior colour scheme like the 30jahre maybe, breaks things up nicely imo. You could do black with Sakhir or SS maybe.

That's not a bad idea.

I think I have changed my mind 100 times this week. I've decided not to go ahead with CCB, which makes an individual colour likely. That said, there are plenty of colours which won't work with blue calipers and black 666 wheels.

Nardo Grey is one colour which seems to work still, along with Grigio Telesto. Leaning toward Telesto as its rarer than Nardo, and is seen as less of a copy colour than Nardo. I think Nardo is more striking though and works better with a full M Performance exterior equipped car. Some nice Nardo Instagram accounts to follow for inspiration. I think either is a colour I could live with.

Love the idea of Signal Green and Fire Orange, but it might scare the neighbours too much.

The exhaust will scare them nicely. I'll have to do a duet with the 50i cold start and the M3

The black wheels dont really look black but Gunmetal on the outside and black on the inside. I think theyll look great on a darker blue.

Have you seen the new 666 wheels in black?

I am yet to find actual pictures.

So far i've only seen painted silver 666 wheels.

I don't think that is it. That wheel looks painted.

Check this - I'm pretty sure this is the real deal.

Picture is overexposed, but gives a good idea of the gloss/matte finish.

Lucky man. A few of us are April.

I still haven't locked in my color, but I have to do it today/tomorrow.

How much should an Individual (level 2 as I call it) paint cost? Grigio, Nardo, etc. I always thought it was 8k inc GST and LCT, however when my dealer quoted me it made a 10k difference to the price using Grigio as an example he'd quoted someone else a week earlier. I know that an Individual level 1 (Tanzanite, Azurite) cost $3600 inc GST and LCT. Frozen is about $6000 inc GST and LCT.

I'm ultimately tossing up between;

Alpine White / Sakhir Orange
Mineral White / Sakhir Orange +2k
Tanzanite Blue / Silverstone +4k
Nardo Grey / Black or Silverstone +10k
(all with black wheels and blue calipers)

The extra cash goes a long way, or even covers in the case of Nardo, an Akra/MPE exhaust.

Just heard back from my dealer. Grigio costs more than Nardo, and SMB just so you know.

Essentially it's about $7800 inc. GST and LCT for Nardo/SMB vs $10,000 inc. GST and LCT for Grigio.

This 2k saving has just about pushed me toward Nardo.

Interior colors? Black? Black with grey/red stitch? Sakhir? Silverstone?
