After looking at all these pictures including black and yellow M4s, it's pretty clear that color choice for my M3 is NOT going to be blue/yellow/black.
That leaves me 2 choices now... sakhir orange vs. mineral white.
I am hoping to see some fully exposed M3s in sakhir orange on the street soon to make my decision before placing new order around March.

Thanks for providing all of this awesome coverage, Jason. We're truly spoiled to be able to see all of these photos.

When my W204 C63 is gone, the F80 will be a strong candidate to replace it.

by specs it looks improved but I wouldnt say Blow away, From my understanding this motor will lose too much power at higher rpms, save bet would be stay within 7k-7.5k rpm range before power drops, Modding should be pretty limited
10.2 compression @ 18psi mitsubishi spooler aluminum components (I'm assuming 9psi each mono turbo)

straight from factory, it should outperform the previous m3's but I wouldnt say by a huge margin.

how ever the 2 series are looking more appealing in the performance category which is what I'm interested in now, I loved my 135i w/ mpackge

power/weight ratio seemed perfect, retuned it and it was impressive,
till the VVT blew into pieces, realized these v6 twins are pretty limited on aggressive boost.

Which I'm disappointed on the new M3/M4, I'm Hoping otherwise. Hopefully reputable modders would play with it early and show what might be hidden within the builds.

my cousins e92 is smacking exotics all day on cross tracks / airport strips at 7.8k rpm-8krpm seems to be a good sweet spot for for his full potential boost.

I'm with you on this one,
the Sakhir orange or Mineral white is more interesting,

I'm rooting for the sakhir orange, give it a nice sporty color tone with these new sporty look,

But i'd be too scared to try out the color, lol
one bad scratch and it becomes a headache to get that color tone repainted

So you also eliminated AW and mineral gray, I assume. Possibly more colors could be added...

I think the new M will out-perform the outgoing M by as much of a margin as the new M5 outperforms the E60.

Have you not seen the preliminary performance numbers? They are pretty far ahead of the E9x.

My last two BMWs (135i and 335is) were both AW. I want to go with something different this time.
I am not so sure about mineral gray. I rather go with metallic black than gray.

I am hoping that base M3 is somewhere around 60k.
68-70k with options I want (executive pkg, dct, 19 inch wheel, and hk audio).

if the car sell it for 70k with option then I pull out my cash and pay off the car right away.

with the way the current pricing are going, and the upper models pricing
Not sure, that'd leave an unrealistic gap between M5 and M3
and Make 435is not worth getting as it's pretty high up there 64k the one i looked at anyways, there was only 2 available for me to take a look at

Well over here in California anyways

I'd vote for lease as well, that way if you do love it and cant live without it you can pay the difference and buy it, if not ? give a lci model a chance after trade in
then again, depends how much the lease would be. never leased before so i'm not 100% sure how it works.

i should take my own advice and try leasing
