It's always so discouraging to hear this. I placed a deposit with them several months ago and was one of the first on the allocation list for 2016 models. They would not sell me a car until next year for less than msrp. Oh well.
They might be out of ED allocations for the rest of the year. Also, remember the Welt will be closed from the end of Dec 2015 to Feb 2016; 2016 cars for ED during this time should be effected.

My 2016 M4 ED was built on week35 and picked up on September of this year.

I have to say dealing with Steve Thomas BMW was the most pleasant and efficient experience I've ever had buying a car.

David, Jimmy and Golffrr are very proactive.

I was doing a US delivery and had a deposit since April. The Welt didn't effect anything. I'm glad you had a great experience. Just makes me feel worse though.

Some of the other sales guys in here are pretending to give great deals, they are not.
I will second that about Mark. He took great care of both mine and my friend's ED. Pricing was fair and turned out to be much better than most for a Cali dealer.

This has got to be a joke, right? I've only heard nothing but bad things about BH BMW...

No not a joke, terrible things about the BH BMW - I agree, I heard the same. I got the tip from a friend who got an M6.... Neda is the #1 BMW sales rep in the entire BMW North America group - call them, ask for her, and let her work the magic. She moves more cars than any other rep in the country.

They had an M3 I was interested in. However it was pulling teeth to get her to 2k off MSRP on an 80k MSRP. I wasn't impressed.

Well yeah, how much off MSRP did you expect? Below invoice? I was saying that most dealers mark up MSRP and won't even budge... All I said was she'd go below MSRP. I got 2k off + 1k from USAA...

Have been offered several deals better than that on builds. $1500 over invoice is there if you look hard enough. I'm in OREGON so with only 2k off and paying 1k to ship it made no sense. Got a better deal with waiting and can drive to pick it up.

1) Your location is key if you want to buy a car that’s in stock at a dealer. My local dealers (and theres 8+ of them) will only sell at MSRP or MSRP+.

2) I found 3 very helpful CA’s (with the help of fellow forum contributors) that all had unique, differentiated focus/capabilities. PM me if you want more details (California Region).

3) I’m now the proud owner of the exact car I wanted and have attached a photo. (2016 M3, Silverstone Exterior, Black Merino Extended Interior, M Handling, Drivelogic, 19” Chrome/Black Rims). Given my circumstances/needs, I picked it up for about $750 over invoice all said and done. Possible to have gotten it cheaper, but all depends on YOUR circumstances.

4) The lowest cost manner of getting into one of these cars is to go ED, without a doubt. A buddy of mine picked up a 2016 M4 recently via ED for below ED invoice...

Thanks for all the help guys...

Can you PM the names/contact info for the CAs?
Thanks

Personally I had a great experience with Steve Thomas and the boys over there. I might have just gotten lucky but I placed my order on November 5th and production started on the 6th. Happy with the price too.

Sounds like they tried to sell an allocation last minute which usually benefits the buyer.

Try Kelly Kimberly at Hansel BMW in Santa Rosa. He does flat Costco Invoice + $$$ pricing before incentives. It's not as great as the khoi deals but if you're norcal it's local and he's really proactive about trading to get an allocation.
