Being Transported to the port of exit?

I just called BMW and they state that my car is "being transported to the port of exit". BUT....I'm a doing ED on May 26th.

Should I be concerned, or is this a stock stage description for being transported out of that plant for delivery?

Did anyone else get this stage before their ED?

Thanks.

I believe it still needs to leave the plant where the car was built and then transported to Munich or wherever you're starting the ED delivery.

Yes, it does. My question was the stage does not say that, it says it is being transported to the port of exit. Munich is not the port of exit. Is my car being transported to the wrong place?

Yes. Says that once it leaves the factory to get to the Welt. Mine still says that and it's in Halifax. Tracking for ED cars is not what it could be.

Agreed. My delivery is in 2 weeks (to the day, actually) and mine has had this status since completion of production. Just means that it's being stored nice n tidy in the Welt basement.

Incidentally, tracking becomes a bit more of a pain as I just added my BMWFS account to My BMW and the moment you do that, your ability to track is gone.

The 800 number still works, but the website considers the car delivered the moment you can make a payment, lol. No way to get it back.....so stupid.

Definitely could be improved upon, but at least they only took away the least reliable and up to date info source. The 800 number is far more valuable and you can set it to speed dial on your phone to quickly get updates.
