This may be sacrilegious but, It's. Only. A. Car.

Edit: Don't get too excited about dinner at the Marriott it's average at best, however you'll be pleasantly surprised with the quality of the lunch food.

A lot of my comments and posts are very sarcastic and exaggerated lol.

I normally am a stickler for some of the rules for the first month but sooner or later I'll be getting fast food in my car and doing other stupid things.

I also don't plan on following bmws break in recommendations. Her red line cherry is going to be popped as soon as I get her warmed up

And I don't expect much from a Marriott dinner lol

Stoked for you man. Youre almost exactly a month prior to my pcd. Is skipping sessions an option? I was under impression kinda had to attend all of them. Id def skip the tour and museum if it meant delivery sooner

I've read other posts where people skip it. But who knows. I'll find out when I get there

I actually need to head to south but may make my way up north depending on what time I leave and how I feel.

Truth!!! Although, I'll never forget my FIL spilling coffee in his newly acquired 430. Car was gone within a month.

Has anyone that has done PCD requested that they send a picture of your car. I've been in contact with a Kelli there and she seems pretty nice. Looking at the boat schedule, my car should arrive sometime next week and I won't be there till the 20th so it would be nice to have a picture lol

I was at the Performance Center a few weeks ago and they have a make-ready process where they fully detail and wax your car before it's presented. I imagine they would send you pics but likely not until that has happened and they do that in the days leading up to your arrival I believe, so it might have to be closer too. Anyway, they were extremely nice and it seemed like they would accommodate a request for pictures of your own car if you just ask. Also, it seemed like a small group of people that seemed to all know each other, I would just ask Kelli and see what she says.

Will do. How well did they detail your car? I plan on re doing the whole detail but I'm hoping they don't swirl it up too much as my local dealer did last time. Especially since I have BSM lol

Not sure I'd trust anyone to detail my car (except a pro detailer), esp Black....even with the best intentions, they'll put swirls marks on the paint

I was just in town and checking it out bc I'm thinking about doing PCD on my next vehicle and may sign up for M School (again) as well.

The cars there looked showroom ready and I didn't see any swirl marks in the paint. I imagine they do a much better job than most dealers and it sounded like it from the way they described the process. Good luck with your delivery! Also, check out the Zentrum Museum and do a plant tour while you're there.

Well either way I was planning on giving it a good full days worth of detailing so if they give a couple of swirls, I'll feel like I'm not wasting my time lol.

The OCD doesn't end with the tracking, here is what my detailing is going to look like when I get her in my garage.

1. Rinse
2. Foam gun (With Dawn to remove any waxes or grease)
3. Rinse
4. Foam Gun
5. Agitate with mit
6. Dry
7. Decontaminate (Ironx)
8. Rinse
9. Clay Bar
10. Polish
11. Foam Gun
12. Agitate with mit
13. Dry
14. Glaze
15. Hydro 2 coating to the entire car

I will just throw some protection onto the leather and dash and maybe the engine bay.
