Absolutely. I think they're one of the main reasons it has a completely different sound than other systems.

If you notice this AA system along with the AWE has a single mid-pipe design, they're also the two deepest sounding systems available.

AWE doesn't have a single mid pipe design. It is a dual 3inch design.

Would you say the cold start is close to a cold start with the valves open on a stock exhaust? Also, do you still hear the loud pops and cracks that the stock exhaust has? Thanks!!

They do sell the rear section only if you are interested in the rear section only. I decided to do the full with midpipes. So its not really necessary but I believe it does make the exhaust sound different and also louder.

I wouldn't know how the cold start was because I put downpipes right away when I purchased the car. When I had the eisenmann, it would pop every time I would accelerate and got off the pedal. This one, it does it sometimes. I really didn't like that pop. It got annoying most of the time.

You will get more of a pop in sport mode.

Its not as loud as say AWE with downpipes. I would rate that an 8/10. This is about a 6-7/10. Its deep but loud on cold start. My wife says its better than my AWE which had valves.

Is it normal to drive around without a license plate?

Whats the biggest sound difference between these 2 exhausts with dp's?? I'm curious to know as i'm looking to make a purchase on one of these soon. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

AWE is much more raspy and a bit louder at WOT in both versions. AA is a good bit deeper. I had AWE and couldn't be happier with my decision to switch to the AA.

The 102's are amazing! Much more aggressive on the rear especially when you see the car from behind. As far as the plate, its a ticket but I do have a sheriff I know personally that signs it off for me all the time

I feel like the 90's are too small for this car especially if you are running an aggressive diffuser like Vorsteiner. It fills the gap perfectly and looks amazing. If I had the chance to redo the tips would I have done 102? Absolutely yes!

I have never heard AWE in person at all so I have no say in this but accordingly to what I've been reading on the forum and hearing sound clips (which never sounds the same in person), dmk's opinion sounds like what everyone is saying also.

Hope that helps

AWE is the opposite of rasp. It's deep AF. Compared to my friends Amytrix exhaust which is raspy as hell, the AWE makes my car sound like a V8. I haven't heard the AA exhaust in person but I can def say that the AWE has no rasp whatsoever.

I've heard the non-res AWE in person and it does sound a bit raspy under WOT.

We have done many different exhaust setups here at TAG Motorsports. One of my favorite is the AWE Non-Resonated with stock down pipes. It makes the car sound like it should. I like the fact that the AWE uses the factory valves so you can have the car tame when you want and loud when desired.

Here is a video of the AWE Non-Resonated. It gets much deeper sounding once the exhaust is broken in

Here is the AWE Resonated with Akrapovic cat-less down pipes

Opinion

Hello All,

Honestly this exhaust doesn't sound like a bad choice. The exhaust clip sounds like it is on par for the AWE system.

Pros about the AWE system would obviously by the intoxicating sound. This sound convinced multiple people to buy this exhaust. Not just the 5 people that I am talking about in my AWE exhaust journey thread.

Another pro about the the AWE system is that once broken in fully it definitely gives you that V8 feel and allows you to hear the crackling and popping. As heard on Sameets car.

The last Pro would have to be the ability to keep the open and close function of the exhaust. This is imperative for most of us because the added attention from Cops, our Neighbors, etc is not warranted.

I think what this will come down to is personal preference coupled with how this exhaust sounds after its fully broken in.

Thanks for posting the AA system I think it looks nice and also sounds nice as well.

I will add sound clips of the AWE exhaust with Fabspeed DP over the weekend. One of the kits arrived yesterday will be installing it over the weekend.

Still think we are deeper with less rasp. Hopefully we can get a better comparison videos with both systems.
