Read through this https://www.autogeekonline.net/forum...less-wash.html, and that still uses water ! So imagine for a waterless wash ... There is absolutely no product on this planet to clean SAFELY a dirty car without water. Glad it worked for you but I would only use waterless products on a car with a light layer of dust that has not been exposed to water or moisture and nothing else. |

Not to pick on ya, but what about your M? because the CC quality on your M is not the same as your 21 years old car. If you have found the perfect technique, conditions and product combination, then great for you. How about a DIY video with your dirty M and waterless product to show us how to properly do it ? I am open to learning and trying new products, although very skeptical. I can sacrifice a panel for the sake of science which I can re-polish !

Now this my last post on this, I call BS. I checked their FB page, absolutely no detailed tech info or videos showing a dirty car being washed by this unreal cool product. We all want that awesome waterless product, but alas we have to put in some elbow grease to keep our cars clean and our paint safe away from swirls! Being open minded about detailing products and having detailed my own BMWs for 17 years, most good products are old products, every 5 years or so there is a new wave of new detailing products that comes on the market but really nothing revolutionary. I’ve been using a sealant from Germany, Klasse, that has been around for few decades... FYI: to really check there is no swirls, spider webs,... one need perfect lighting and viewing angle or a special light! Most people think they have no swirls but they are there, just don’t go looking for them |

Their post that it's "now available" was just posted 5 days ago. <sarcasm> Can't believe they don't have all the technical explanations and videos up!!! Guess we only have user testimonials for now (but why trust independent 3rd parties when you can eat up whatever the company would want to throw out, if it was just shady marketing? LOL). </sarcasm> |

Graves, you're really making me want to start to believe in the waterless stuff. But you have to remember, us old-school folk are very scared of new things. Much like America and the metric system, we refuse to acknowledge it. But being that this is a thread about washing in the garage, this is a very viable alternative

Look, here's why you won't see much about Clearshine, that is because it's a branch off of another product but refined so that it doesn't grow mold like others can/do. However, this chemical base has been proven to coat, protect, and shine more than its competitors for less money. Detailing cars is my thing, I would not pedal this stuff if it wasn't good and sure as shit wouldn't put it on my car that has a $7k dollar factory paint job.

Waterless and rinseless washes are fine. It all depends on how dirty the car is and how comfortable you are with micro scratches and swirls. Proper technique is like 99% of what matters when washing a car anyway. Use all the soap and water in the world but with improper technique and tools you'll still end up scratching the paint. I find rinseless and waterless washes to be much more convenient as I can do it now my garage with minimal mess and cleanup afterwards. Yea I have some very fine swirl marks but you can't see them from 3 ft away. Who's gonna come up close and inspect my paint and judge me and why would I care lol.

My paint is not 100% perfect to begin with so I dont think a waterless system will do any damage other than perhaps add overtime to the very fine swirls already present. On a YMB car you are hard pressed to notice this anyway. But the time/effort saved on not having to deal with a hose and cleanup is just fantastic. Prob 95% of the results of a full wash for 50% of the effort. |
