It all depends on how much dirt there is on the car. In winter time, snow, slush, dirt, salt, sand.... it?s virtually impossible to do a waterless rinse. And during summer, if it rains and that dust becomes caked on, then waterless is also very hard and most likely not safe for paint.
Still works great I assure. There are video testimonials on their website. The stuff is legit. Nothing saying you can't hose the car off, put it away for that night and then hit it with the Shine the next day.

If for every-time I hear this I collect 1$ I'd be rich ... Next time you wash your M, please post closeup pics of your dirty M before cleaning with this miraculous product. What you think is dirty may probably be not dirty for a waterless cleaning. Video testimonials mean nothing, and there is no credible reviews anywhere on this product from a one year old website.

Read through this https://www.autogeekonline.net/forum...less-wash.html, and that still uses water ! So imagine for a waterless wash ...

There is absolutely no product on this planet to clean SAFELY a dirty car without water. Glad it worked for you but I would only use waterless products on a car with a light layer of dust that has not been exposed to water or moisture and nothing else.

Right! Oh well, better luck next time I guess. My car is 21 years old and I guarantee the paint is in better condition than 90% of the cars on this site. All from waterless wash.

I use it on my wife's car that is out in the elements all the time. Never had a single issue. Bug guts, tree sap, rain, tar, road dust, salt, etc. never had an issue.

Not to pick on ya, but what about your M? because the CC quality on your M is not the same as your 21 years old car. If you have found the perfect technique, conditions and product combination, then great for you. How about a DIY video with your dirty M and waterless product to show us how to properly do it ? I am open to learning and trying new products, although very skeptical. I can sacrifice a panel for the sake of science which I can re-polish !

I don't have my M yet, but I have used this product on many different cars from an array of manufacturers. I don't need to show anything, there are pictures and videos all over their FB page. I work to much right now, but I'd be more than happy to make a video in Germany, in April when I take delivery. I'll have three years of German weather to show y'all.

Stuff looks cool but doing a google search I literally can't find a single review, video, anything about it.

So many cool products on the market, most are shady advertising... even the latest craze for nano products is part BS advertising.

Now this my last post on this, I call BS. I checked their FB page, absolutely no detailed tech info or videos showing a dirty car being washed by this unreal cool product. We all want that awesome waterless product, but alas we have to put in some elbow grease to keep our cars clean and our paint safe away from swirls!

Being open minded about detailing products and having detailed my own BMWs for 17 years, most good products are old products, every 5 years or so there is a new wave of new detailing products that comes on the market but really nothing revolutionary. I’ve been using a sealant from Germany, Klasse, that has been around for few decades...

FYI: to really check there is no swirls, spider webs,... one need perfect lighting and viewing angle or a special light! Most people think they have no swirls but they are there, just don’t go looking for them

To each their own bro. I'm not a paid spokesperson, I'm just someone that knows it works. But in this day and age narrow mindedness is nothing new so most of the "that stuff doesn't work" doesn't surprise me. I used to be the same way. I used the most expensive products known to man, one of them being a wax from Germany that was $200 dollars. I am very much so into detailing and know all about what light is needed, blah, blah, blah. So, I have been using this product along with others such as Chadwick's, F11, and other waterless and this one works the best and I have NEVER gotten a scratch or swirls from using it. And this has been on shitty Ford and Chevy paint. I will continue to use the horrible waterless product on my $80k BMW.

I, for one, am looking forward to this video of your shady clearshine product.

Their post that it's "now available" was just posted 5 days ago.

Can't believe they don't have all the technical explanations and videos up!!! Guess we only have user testimonials for now (but why trust independent 3rd parties when you can eat up whatever the company would want to throw out, if it was just shady marketing? LOL).

Graves, you're really making me want to start to believe in the waterless stuff. But you have to remember, us old-school folk are very scared of new things. Much like America and the metric system, we refuse to acknowledge it. But being that this is a thread about washing in the garage, this is a very viable alternative

I'm telling you it's not BS. My father uses it on his black Beamer, along with many others.

Look, here's why you won't see much about Clearshine, that is because it's a branch off of another product but refined so that it doesn't grow mold like others can/do. However, this chemical base has been proven to coat, protect, and shine more than its competitors for less money. Detailing cars is my thing, I would not pedal this stuff if it wasn't good and sure as shit wouldn't put it on my car that has a $7k dollar factory paint job.

Waterless and rinseless washes are fine. It all depends on how dirty the car is and how comfortable you are with micro scratches and swirls. Proper technique is like 99% of what matters when washing a car anyway. Use all the soap and water in the world but with improper technique and tools you'll still end up scratching the paint. I find rinseless and waterless washes to be much more convenient as I can do it now my garage with minimal mess and cleanup afterwards. Yea I have some very fine swirl marks but you can't see them from 3 ft away. Who's gonna come up close and inspect my paint and judge me and why would I care lol.

I am now on board and in agreement with you. I bought the stuff that Graves mentioned in this thread, for $15 figured couldnt hurt to try it out. It worked pretty darn well. It lifted all of the surface dust/dirt very easily but tougher items like tree crud required a little more effort.

My paint is not 100% perfect to begin with so I dont think a waterless system will do any damage other than perhaps add overtime to the very fine swirls already present. On a YMB car you are hard pressed to notice this anyway. But the time/effort saved on not having to deal with a hose and cleanup is just fantastic. Prob 95% of the results of a full wash for 50% of the effort.

I've been washing my BMWs in the garage for years - out of direct sunlight that can erode your paint when its wet, beat the heat and bugs too. I also use a leaf blower to dry it off to avoid unnecessary swirl marks and save my shoulders for the gym.
