Nick - those characters in your backseat look like dealer techs. You should have them check out the light.
On a different note, I can't help but think you bought the wrong car when I read your comment about the M4 being heavy and unresponsive. The M4 isn't a sports car like the 911. It's a sedan-based luxury sports coupe. In fact as a 4 seat Coupe it is one of the lightest and most agile cars in its segment (comparing with things like the RS5 and C63). I would say the M4 is the best car of its kind on the market. If I wanted to ditch Porsche for obvious reasons in your case, I would have gone for another sports car at this price point. The choice would have been the Jaguar F Type R. The Jag is also heavier than the Porsche, but it has more of that sportscar responsiveness you have in the 911. The other choice would have been the Stingray.

Hey Nick,
Great video and review of the M4..I really like the SO now.. I see you are bombarded with questions about the 991 VS the M4..I looked at your videos and also watched your CaymanS review..it seemed like you really liked it. I'm cross shopping the two..obviously you picked the M4..I'm wondering why..why didnt you just get a new 991 if Porsche were going to replace it.. thanks

Great review as usual Nick. I followed the 991s saga very closely so happy to see you got that resolved. Lots of these out in the wild now. Not to hijack the thread but I had the pleasure of being in New Brunswick, NJ yesterday about to turn onto a highway and saw a black F80 with black wheels just ahead of me at the light. From the driver's seat of a lowly Camry, I tooted and gave him the thumbs up. Shortly after turning onto the highway, my reward was the driver flooring it and the sound was intoxicating as the M3 almost literally flew away, for which I'm saying a public, thank you!!!!

I walked in asked if they have any June M4 allocations left and placed my order. Told the to tick every option aside from the brakes and sunroof. They added the sunroof anyway. (I deleted it later). My sales guy is friendly enough but he never answers the phone, responds to emails, voicemails or texts. If I wanted an update I need to go to the dealer and track him down. Told him in writing not to put dealer badges on my car. They did. They forgot to take my car out of shipping mode before delivering it to me. They left bits of shipping plastic all over the outside. They really make buying a car an unpleasant experience for no good reason. |

Nick, has the airbag light been sorted and was it caused by the delivery mode been left on?

How do you compare the two? So are you saying you prefer the 911? Are you keeping both?

Hey Nick,
Did your airbag situation get sorted? When will you post your next review? Good luck with the M4, hope it proves to be a better ownership experience! |

Good to hear it.
The worrying thing about the dealer letting you out with the car in transport mode is that the airbags were likely disabled at the time, hence the light. Had you had a crash you could have been in trouble |
