BPM M4 ZCP-Just Pulled the trigger

Had JB on my '15 M4 and just finished break-in on my '18 M4 ZCP and decided to give the BPM setup a try. Was happy with the JB on the last one but wanted to get a little more, Top Speed eliminator(for the big track trackdays ), get rid of the burbles(no offense to those that like them but I just don't think they fit the car or at least me). Can't wait....$25 for ground shipping of a cable seemed a bit much when USPS Priority flat rate is like $12 but what can you do?!

If anyone has any advice or suggestions on this setup please lend me your 2 cents. Went with Stage 1 as I'm not planning on DP changing at this point and we do have 93oct all day long out here, hoping it's better than map 1 on the jb which served me well without any issues except lag at 2500rpm-ish, hoping that is smoothed out with a real tune instead of just bumping the boost across the board.

Congrats! I have downpipes and AA Mid with Stage 1. Car loses Traction in Third if tires are cold, lol. Don't really have much to offer. Car is just like stock but just pulls harder

AND...... your next and Only mod should Be proTUNING Freaks BM3... $595 for the License Which includes 1 Map of your choice ( OTS Stg1/2 for 91 or 93) or if you want to turn it up you can go OTS E30..

OH and i forgot to mention.. no matter which map you choose. You have access to all other maps as well.
I started with E30 v3 and have flashed V5 and V6.. i have also ran F80Paul FULL E85.. and i am currently runing Stage2 93.. with every revision the maps have gotten #StongerBetterFaster while still maintaining daily driving and Comfort as if it was coming from the dealer...

And let Me Not forget mention the Unbeatable Customer service and quick help these guys have going on.. PLEASE CHECK THE BM3 Facebook page if you don't believe me..

OP went with BPM

How can his next and ONLY mod be BM3??

This has been much debated and each tune has its up and downs. Can't go wrong with either setup

Read he was referring to older M4 with Both as comparison but as you mentioned each has ups and down.. i just don't see the down side of BM3..

Yeah but your point adds nothing to the thread

He was asking for BPM users experience with a similar setup (stage 1)

Anyways, glad your enjoying BM3.. Drive safe

OP - you are going to love it and thanks for your order!

PS: Had the office refund you for the shipping - have no idea why the site charged $25 for ground..

Our new website is almost finished and should be launched in the next few weeks, we'll make sure to check the shipping settings.

Also want to note that our software is extensively developed and tested, and not "beta". It's expected that "beta" software carries a lighter price tag.

Thanks!

All done

Took less than 1 day to get the modified map back from BPM(actually like 6 hours)! Everything installed exactly as described, whole thing took about 5 minutes to read the data to send to them and about 10mins to reprogram the car with the modified map. Rainy and cold here so performance testing is going to have to wait but no perceptible issue with throttle response that others have mentioned, they may have fixed that issue or maybe it was never an issue. That can be a pretty subjective thing so one man's twitchy is another man's "Wow this is perfect!". With the '15 on BMS Stage 1 there was always a little dip just shy of 3k before it came on strong, so far this seems to have a much smoother delivery curve. Not bad-mouthing anyone just sharing observations, I had the BMS stage 1 for 3yrs on the '15 just decided to take advantage of some of the options advantages with the ecu tuning on the '18. More observations to follow.

Glad you're enjoying it and thanks for the feedback! Let us know how it is with more seat time!

Weather finally broke. Speed limiter is def gone(confirmed on a closed track of course). The power delivery is so much smoother than my map 1 experience on my 15 that it almost feels slower but then certain physics wake you up and show you its working. So far very happy.....especially without the boy-racer wannabe v8 burbles!

I've had my BPM tune for about 4 months now - I can say this....It really is smooth and worth every penny you pay for it. You're going to love it. As with any tune you have a short adaptation period, say 3 to 5 days or so. One of the first things you'll notice is that the "jerkiness" that you experience in Sport+ will disappear. If you opted for the rev-matching in Sport+ it will even feel better. I actually do not drive in any of the other modes any more. There's no need. Sport+ is just soooo smooth. Plus, BPM's customer service is TOP notch. Mike really takes the time to make sure you are all taken care of. His team is pretty solid as well.

One thing - when you warm the car up after the pull away from your parking...I recommend keeping it in Efficient mode for about 3 to 5 min. This not only warms up the engine but also warms up the exhaust canister. Cold engine revolutions suck no matter what. Congrats on the new tune and you're welcome to contact me on IM for any questions on it.
