Some of the pictures from production show a M4 being produced, is this an individual already or did they just conveniently neglect to mention that it's an available color?

I doubt that the quality of the finished product varies by when it is produced regardless of which model we are talking about, M4 or otherwise.

They work out all of the little issues before serial production begins, so there should be no more issues with the first car off the line than the later ones. Also, they do QA checks on sample completed cars so they catch any small glitches and correct them before the cars leave the grounds. There is also PDI, of course.

well, too each their own.

I hated the look in pictures, then I saw an AY m3 in Houston......and my hatred for the color grew 100 fold. IMO it looks absolutely terrible.

I have seen a SO M6 Gran Coupe and though it looked amazing. My fiance drives a red car and therefore we decided I shouldn't get SO. It is my second choice behind MG.
