you have to factor in a lot of things. They want the tune to be safe to people to use.

50WHP is still a lot of power from just a tune with no exhaust work.

There were rumours that the F series encryption had been leaked... Maybe GSR have been lucky enough to get hold of it

BMW are stating the limiter is 155 but a stock M3 hit 165 no problem.

Heard that too. I have a feeling GSR won't be the only one releasing a tune.

Hopefully BMW doesn't catch wind and start a "software update" campaign.

Awesome. I met GSR crew at an event in West Palm Beach a couple years back. Nice people who were more than happy to show me around their drift z4.

Will your flash tune be locked to OTS maps done by you only or will the end user be able to tweak them?

We the users would like complete control. Maybe offer two options?

Access port kinda like Cobb? Pretty please

If you're referring to the JB4. Most of their dynos are with a mix of 91 and ethanol.

GSR Autosport, do you care to show some screencaps of the tables that you modify and list what those tables are? How is fueling scaled in this motor? Also, some logs with boost, timing, fuel trims and AFR would be ideal.

I don't see any of those items as being a secret if you truly have a tune.

So your saying there's a chance for us S63tu owners...

Would be great if the encryption was finally cracked or gotten a hold of but I'm still not holding my breath. There has been a lot of false hopes over the past 3 years since the S63tu engine came out so I'm still very skeptical.

They don't have a tune, but I'm sure they can send you the F10 M5 press file to load up!

Maybe another thing to do is find out from Jailbreak Tuning. Their in collaboration with GSR but seems like Jailbreak may have been the brains behind it...just guessing here and not meant to offend GSR.

I was at a autoshow yesterday here in toronto(importfest) and at the Eurocharged booth the guy was here from Houston with his gallardo tt(he does all the tuning for underground racing I believe), and he told me that they already cracked the M4 and M5/M6. The numbers that GSR are claiming are about what he told me he can do for my car. But they told me the ecu is cracked and can be flashed.

The F10 M5 and M4 use similar ECUs. The Bosch MEVD17.2.x. They use an Infineon TriCore 1797 processor. I assume it was a private key used for signing that was "cracked". ASICs? ftw?
