This. It's an awful color in person.

We had a Z4 on the lot of the dealer I worked for at the time and it sat for almost 2 years before someone bought it.

At first glance, and in pictures I absolutely love this color. Although I wouldn't personally spec mine out in this color, I definitely think it looks great. This seems like something I would rather do as wrap and change it up once I get sick of it.

that's because the z4 looks terrible in every color except black and silver where it only looks sorta bad.

This color is sick but it's not for every car.

in fact most cars would look terrible in this color, but because an M3 is a fun playful and masculine car, you can pull off crazy colors. Just like you can with a GT porsche.

I would drive to any dealer in TX right now and trade in my 15 F80 for this color if they had it on the lot.

Agreed that Z4's aren't a good looking car to begin with. In the same era, any M3 that weren't silver/black/white sat for a while. Imola, LSB, Phoenix Yellow, and Oxford Green generally all had extended stays on the lot before someone bought.

Most people find different colors interesting to look at but you are in the minority as a buyer of an oddball color.

You can certainly order one through Individual if you like

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions on color. But i'll point out that first pic shows the color in a falsely flattering light. The sun is right behind it and making the color look much lighter than it actually is. Every other pic reveals the color for what it really is: mediocre at best.

Also someone please explain to me: on what planet does a matte side skirt make sense when every other black component on the car is in high gloss? (I won't even get into how tasteless it is when people whore out the M logo just for the sake of doing it.)

Exhaust tips do look good though. Can't say that for much else.

hideous, so many sprakling and bright colours available and then customers pay big extra for such a totally wrong casted camouflage dull tint. An M needs a sparkling and shining colour, not this.

But of course, like mentioned before: to each his own.

Thank you. I was gonna have to dig up that thread to show just how good the Oxford Green Metallic looks. It's nearly black unless it's in the sun and the metallic paint can sparkle. I really took that color for granted on my E46.
