That said, I'd forgive them of all of that if the car came with the CF hood from the GTS, or if there was something else in weight savings.
I'm not sure how it's really a cosmetic thing. Every review so far has said the car is a huge improvement ("transformative") from the base M3/M4 and the ZCP is well worth the price. As far as the ride is concerned, I think the general consensus is that it's slightly firmer but far from being unforgiving.

My MPE (2,300 miles) rattles the entire house at cold start. The MPE has a nice idle.

Garage List
Not that psyched about two things: no lumbar on seats, and feel 20"s look comically large, whereas wider 19"s was probably all that was necessary.

Same. If the seats weren't so silly and the wheels were an option I'd have checked the ZCP box and not looked back.

Instead I am going for ZEP only with MPE port-installed.

this is fine... all you CP haters and non-CP fanboys carry on ordering and not ticking the CP option box, as hopefully this will make for fewer CP cars on the road and my CP car worth more and hold it's value a little better

Lol and agreed. There are so many complaints about the CP overall. However when I browse the ordering threads, I would estimate 70-80% of new orders have CP checked! I think that shows that more people like it than hate it. I know mine will include CP for sure.

yeah I read that too about CP percentage orders. but I was hoping the wheels, harsh ride, seats and overall cost will put more people off it

I on the other hand cant wait to get my mitts on my CP car. In a weeks time !!

I will do my best to do a decent review and post some vids inside and out and drive-bys, sound clips etc..

p.s..... all my cars prefer to have a hard break in period. they told me so an 'Alpine' break-in is best to bed everything in... they perform better in the long run and become quicker cars, burn less oil and just need to be driven hard from the very start of their life.

I agree. MPE much better choice if you have to choose. If you are loaded, get both. MPE sound is wicked! (Just got it last week)
Could not deal with those wheels though. 20"s look way too big on that car.
Also good luck with combo 20", potholes and lack of lumber support!

Getting Dinan stage 2 next... A lot more than 19hp...

I am sure I would not notice the handling difference from ZCP on Midwestern roads. It is my DD and I get a blast from full throttle sound on highway ramps or overtaking 18 wheelers...
MPE all the way!

Not trying to be a non-CP fanboy but "transformative" and "Huge Improvement" would be going to coil-overs or something like that, not going from stock M shocks to a slightly different stock M shock with different valve tuning. I think most of the increase grip is from the wider tires in the rear anyways, 285 vs 275.

JB4....$800 (500+ whp, full control of flaps, remove ASD)
KW HAS....$800 (lower stance and arguably better ride quality)
AA Downpipes....$850 (sounds mean)
Vorsteiner 19" wheels.... $2200 (pic your poison, VFF-103 do it for me)
Bridgestone R11 tires with 295 in the rear.... $1000 (much more traction over stock)

Total Price...........$5650

Do some coding (Euro MDM, active diff to CP spec when available; etc) and your non-CP car will ride more comfortable, handle better and be light years faster.

I do like the CP car but if I had to do it over again knowing what I know now and being a frugal SOB, I dont think I would check the box. Just my opinion, dont flame me.

I can confirm that the ZCP seats are very different than the standard seats and not just because they have holes.

The ZCP seats DO have more side bolstering and the shape of the seat back is different, even around the shoulders. The ZCP seats wrap around me a lot more than standard seats.

they are not called bulbs, they are "burbles"

Anyway, read this thread before you waste your time: DO NOT install the ZCP Sports Exhaust on your standard M3/M4
