Radar Detector Hardwire and Mirror Mount

Hey all, just wanted to share my solution for hardwiring and mounting my Escort Passport 9500. I bought the "PerformancePackage" Mirror Mount and Tap for Escort off of Amazon on the account of another forum member that it actually fit. After lots of finaggling and adjustment I got it in to a great position with what I think is a very clean install. I had to use the rain sensor for the wipers as a power source, and just filed a small hole in the 2 pieces of the mirror cover for the cable to pass through. This is a great option for someone who would rather spend $45 for the entire solution rather than $140+ on a Blendmount (not that there is anything wrong with that). This does limit the mirror's range of motion a bit, but the mirror is angled in the perfect spot for my seating position and no one else drives my car.
