stevexyz,
I noticed the same thing with that PKoD web link I posted above. So, I did a Google search for BMW PKoD and viola, I got to the document under 2016 M4 Convertible on the BMW PKoD main page. With my original reply post I tried to paste a screen shot from a PDF and then from MS Paint, but the Comment Box would not let me right click Paste or Cntrl V. Perhaps the Forum Administrator has restricted my permissions, but I see other members posting photos in their replies. Maybe I am too new to the Bimmerpost Forum? Good luck with your 2016 M4 Convertible build! Thanks, Ed |

See the rest of the thread. To summarize, for those who ordered very early in the 2015 model year, before they removed through loading from the standard option list for 2015, they offered a retrofit. For those who ordered after it was removed from the list, nothing. For those of us ordering 2016 model year, based on this publication, we assume they will really get it right this time and have the through loading seats.

I picked up my F83 last week. Car was built in May 2015. I checked bmwvin.com and saw I had the following option:
465 THROUGH-LOAD SYSTEM I went and checked the car and I do have it: |

Nice! Looks like they were able to get the fix in before the official start of MY2016.

Just got a letter in the mail yesterday telling me to contact my local service department so they can order all the parts to retrofit the through-loading system in my car. I ordered my car late June 2014, it was built February of this year. Just incase your wondering why it took so long, its an Individual, so I got put on the end of the production list (even though I have a lower vin number) plus US cars didn't start to arrive till Oct 2014.

I received my letter from BMW a couple of weeks ago. The letter stated if I wanted to have the pass thru completed, contact my dealer. I did, and after having to wait for them to confirm that this was legit, they ordered the parts. They said it would be about a month for the parts to arrive. Then we could schedule the install. I will post the results/pics when I get it done.

I took delivery of my 2016 F83 in September. Just posting to confirm the through load system is present and functioning.
If anyone is interested happy to answer questions or post more pics, but it seems we've already got the pics covered with post #71.

How do you get it? I am not letting them touch my car. Afraid it will be far worse if I do. Don't really need this feature. |

I got the letter last week, but it says parts are on order, that they will contact me when available, but it might take a few months. I bought my car off the show room floor in April, 2015, so I would guess a build date in February.

M4 Convertible extended storage retro fit
So, I take delivery of an ex demonstrator M4 convertible at the weekend. It's got a great spec but no through load/extended storage Golf clubs on the rear seat when I have the roof down isn't a good look so I was wondering whether anyone knew whether the retro fit (obviously available in the US) is also available in the UK?

Does anyone have a copy of the instructions for performing this retrofit?
Post below and https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...51412-9999.pdf has a list of the parts required, but not the instructions for doing it. B510815_Retrofit_Procedure is the referencec for anyone with BMW TSB access. Quote:

Instructions attached for anyone else that's doing it DIY like I did. Only other thing to note is that you might need a bigger rivet gun than your existing depending on what you've got, and it's worth ordering more of the clips/rivets than the parts list says. |

No won’t be offered but you can pay to do it yourself. Total cost is approx £750 in parts and will take 2-3 hours as you need to take rear seats and lots of trim out.
