I hope they don't name the coupe M4..

Why would they do this? The M3 is the name people remember...when I hear M4 I think of this...

Sorry former days in the US Army..

Even if they break up the sedans to 3 and coupes to 4, I think the coupe will still be called an M3 Coupe.

I think it will be called:
BMW 4-series M3 coupe

Like they did with the official name for the 1M:
BMW 1-series M coupe

LOL !

I think there are only two possibilities which make sence:

1. If they name the F32,F33 and F35(36) 4er series than F82,F83 and F85(F86) would be M4s.

2. If they drop the 4er series lable than all F8x would be M3s.

I ETS in 2007 but back in 94' I shot a m3 .45acp grease gun while in a combat engineer unit. Engineer Tankers(CEV) still were issued them, surreal! It was a blast to shoot though. ROF was low enough to be very controlable.

Served as an 11B, ETSd in 87 than did several tours in the CA ARNG as 11B as well. Man I didn't think they still used the old grease gun as late as 94.
