Stock Competition Package springs - do they settle over time?

A lot of complaints when the ZCP was introduced that it looks like a 4x4 or a Corolla. I'm just wondering after a few months or a year, now that your springs are settled, are they any lowered than on day 1? Pics would be appreciated. Thanks!

ZCP springs weren't designed to be any lower than the standard F8x springs. Only difference with ZCP are the spring rates.

Quote:
OEM spring rates for the F80/F82 is 185 lb/ft Front, 575 lb/ft Rear
OEM COMPETITION PACK spring rates for the F80/F82 is 198 lbs/ft Front, 685 lbs/ft Rear
If you want to go with a very subtle drop, then Eibach PRO-KIT is the way to go. However, you'll be sacrificing a little bit of spring stiffness with this kit.

If you want to decrease the front wheel gap without modifying the suspension, go with one of the following wheel/tire options for the front:

275/40/18 (similar to 275/35/19, but will have too much sidewall height)
285/35/18
265/35/19
275/35/19 (lowest ride height without rubbing)

I'm sure they will settle. Right now my ZCP is higher than my M4 with 49k miles. I expect some settling on the ZCP just like what happened with my M4

I'm hoping so too. The front wheel gap is noticeably higher then the back.

Guess I won't need a front lift system.

It's been great. No issues except had to replace brakes within the first 5k miles for vibration issues. It's been good since they were replaced. I have owned a lot of M cars and this one is the first one with no issues in the first 50k miles. FWIW, I don't consider the brakes to be a real issue....it was caused by uneven pad deposits and that is something that can happen.

Was that covered under warranty?

Obviously, BMW's genius engineers did it on purpose so when all the people who think they are track stars go off, there's less damage.

yeah less rubber on the 20s but it isn't noticeable at all.

when I first saw pics of the new M4 Competition that still had the shipping blocks, I was scared thinking my car is gonna look like a buggy but that isn't the case
