So time for an update, the way I'm looking too style the car in OEM +. So I've started by fitting some for the Genuine BMW M Performance Products.

M Performance LED Race Wheel
M Performance Carbon Gear Selector
M Performance Carbon and Alcantara Gear Selector Surround
M Performance Carbon and Alcantara handbrake
M Performance Carbon and Alcantara Centre Arm Rest

Really happy with how its all come out and I feel it really compliments the rest of the carbon that was already on the inside. I must say its so nice to work with the Genuine BMW parts as they fit so nicely.

Next up is the exhaust, now this was a tricky decision I looked into all the top brands but Ive decided too go for an M performance with Carbon Tips. Im also going to keep the secondary cats in.

I managed to pick up a second hand one with only a few thousand miles on it and in as new condition for a snip of the new price.

Stock:

M Performance:

So happy with this exhaust, the noise is absolutely awesome whilst still keeping OEM valves so its can be turned off. It also looks great with the carbon tips on the carbon diffusor.

At the moment the car is totally stock with just the exhaust fitted and there is absolutely no drone on the motorway which is brilliant yet when in sport mode the exhaust sounds a lot more raucous with lots of pops and bangs..... Chuffed

BMW HAS Kit

For the suspension on my car I've chosen to go with the Genuine BMW HAS kit for now, I will be revisiting this on the car as I'm working closely with MSS Kits to develop one of their legendary height adjustable kits for the BMW platform.

Before

After

Much happier with the ride height of the car now and with these kits its also nice that the ride comfort is not compromised.

Next up is the bit I've been looking forward too the most. The brakes! I've developed a few kits for the M2/M3/M4 depending on requirements.

I must say the stock brakes on the F series have been massive improvement on previous models with the stock car coming with monobloc calipers all round, however with some hard even on the road I've found it doesn't take long for them too fade.

The 2 kits I've developed are:
18 inch wheel kit
362mm 6 Pot Fornt Kits
352mm 4 Pot Rear Kit

19 Inch + wheel kit
390mm 6 Pot Front kit
378mm 4 pot Rear Kit

Front Kit:

Taking measurements

Stock Front's

390mm Front Kit

Rear Kit

Stock Rears

378mm Rear Kit

Im very happy with how the kits have come out, they are an awesome improvement over stock both performance and atheistically wise. All my kits are carefully designed to integrate with the car as good as if it was from factory so all kits come complete and as a plug and play setup with the only modifications required is the removal of the dust guards.

I have some of the Radical II calipers on order now so they should be here soon, looking forward too getting these fitted. I also have come of the M performance 763M wheels in satin black on order, I have opted for the M2 setup so it will have 19s all round.

This week i'm pleased that my 763m wheels have a arrived along with my Rad-CAL ll Calipers.

Radi-CAL ll calipers

Fortunately the calipers and pads are a straight swap which makes things easy, my reason for swapping the calipers is purely because I much prefer the look of them.

763m Wheel

My wheels have now arrived, these took a little longer than usual as I choose too go with the M2 setup which has 19 inch wheels all round.

My main reason for choosing this is that there are more tyre options for 19 inch wheels and also it will have a 35 profile on the rear now which will help with ride comfort and handling down some of the rougher B roads we have over here.

Now with them being an M2 setup the Michelin Cup 2 Tyres that come fitted too the wheels will be 245/35/19 Front and 265/35/19 Rear as we know you can run much wider on the M3 so what I've done is fit the 265 on the front wheels and ordered 2 x 285/35/19 Cup 2's for the rear. This has worked perfectly.

The spec of the wheels is as follow's:
763m
9J Front ET29
10J Rear ET40

Too go with the wheels I have also fitted 12mm spacers on the front and 10mm spacers on the rear. All form Chris @********, great service as always form Chris. Really happy with how it sits now.

So happy with these wheels, they look amazing and really show off my big brakes.

Whilst I'm getting all my bits prepared for for Stage 3, I've decided too head down too Evolve and get a Stage 2 on the car.

This consist's off:
Eventuri Drop in Filters
Evolve Catless Downpipes
Evolve Stage 2 Software
Evolve Pop and Crackle Map

Filters

Downpipes

So firstly some stock testing, This backs up why Evolve are one of the best BMW tuners in the country IMO. Unlike most you never get a before (stock) figure however I was happy to see them run the car up fist in bone stock trim.

So the car made 456bhp totally stock.

I also did a quick 100-200 KPH test it did 9.5 in stock trim.

So next up get the car on the ramp and swap the down pipes.

Eventrui filter’s next, I will be fitting a full Eventrui intake system soon but for now filters will do just fine.

So now the bit we have all been waiting for. In full stage 2 trim the car has made 539bhp which im very happy with.

I’ve attached a few dyno plots of the different steps of the Stage 2 package.

Stock - 456bhp
Stock ECU with Catless downpipes - 469bhp (+13bhp)
Stage 2 ECU, Catless downpipes and Filters - 539bhp (+83bhp)

Stock VS Stage 2

So that enough dyno talk, out in the wild I'm extremely happy with the way this car feels on the road and in the rear world. The mapping feels really nice and the power still comes in progressively just harder and pulls really well higher up in the revs.

I have done a 100-200kph test now its tuned and it managed a 7.3 which im really happy with and is an awesome improvement over stock.

Finally Massive thanks to Imran, Evolve and Eventrui. The reason they have such a good reputation was clear too see, a quality and thorough service throughout and also nice its run by some real car enthusiast who know what they are talking about.

I want to do the 763M 19" front and back as well, but was hoping they released the gold color as I do not want black. Would love to see it on this car but the pics are not loading.

Its hard too say as Dyno's vary so much but it was good too get a before and after on the same dyno on the same day.

This week I have fitted some more parts:

BMS Charge Pipes

After the mapping the boost pressure was increased and a known weak part on the F80 even when stock is the hard plastic charge pipes which can sometime leak and even crack so I've chosen to swap and upgrade mine for some BMS Aluminium ones. These pipes also have some meth ports in which is good as this is something I'm going to look into doing in the future.

Fitting wise for anyone looking too do it themselves is really straight forward, no specialist tools or knowledge required. I would just recommend doing it when the car is cold as it can get very hot down there.

http://www.burgertuning.com/BMW_S55_...argepipes.html

AWRON Gauge

This is something I have wanted since I first bought the M3, although some say its just a gimmick I've found the features on it are really useful and fun. Its also very good to be able too see your engine and transmission temperature so you can warm things up properly.

The quality and integration of the product is genuinely faultless and it would defiantly pass although it left the BMW factory like this.

Fitting for this is A bit more involved and does require patients and precision but there is a great step for step guide here.
