unfortunate truth

I have a white 335 and just bought a 14 e350 merc for the wife which is mineral white.

MW is more feminine and straight white looks awesome when clean/waxed

honestly the MW is a duller white which I dont like but has this glimmer which is awesome

my merc rep who is well versed in german cars said

"mineral white is awesome but good luck finding a person to match the paint perfectly if you ever scratch it or get into a accident because it is very hard to match"

good luck

White

Purely subjective. IMO you can't go wrong with either as the M just looks fantastic in any shade of white. I get a lot of compliments on the MW perhaps because it's also really unique looking when clean at night and in certain light (glistens).

One can't go wrong with either color. For me, MW was a no brainer.

Let me ask, what do you guys think MW with silver stone interior? Too much light/white color? Two tone color wheels and carbon fiber roof, lip and spoiler with maybe black painted calipers? I really don't want to go with black interior, SO is too red for my taste (I have saddle brown now but that is as far as I would go)...

What I think? Miami drug lord, Hollywood wife or pimp. Take your pick. Simply too much whitish IMO. No interior lighter than beige with any white color wether it's AW, MW,BW or the Liberace, Siegfried & Roy alarm bells go off.

Yep, that's what I'm looking at. MW on black. I like black but wish there was a very dark Burgundy as an option.

I totally agree with what you said, but I'm honestly sick of white colors. My M3 is alpine white now and yes it looks good, but it's safe to say that 50% of the M3s I see on the street today have the same color combination and after some point it just looks very boring. I think for a car like this one with such aggressive front and rear bumpers, YMB or SO are more ideal colors. White only has the roof contrast going for it really.
Hobby only. And just learning. But studying hard and learning fast.

I can understand why you would be sick of white. It's honestly not my first choice, and may not be the way I end up going depending on the final order guide.

YMB is just gross, IMO. SO is not bad, but a little OTT for me. Don't get me started on Austin Yellow...

alpine white look better to me. If you prefer a metallic flat looking white then mineral white would be the way to go, in the sun it glisten. One thing with both of these color though you'll need black to break up some of the white to make it look aggressive ala carbon fiber roof, rear diffuser and so on. Without any of the previously mention item, it look rather boring for both white.

I believe this has always been my only problem with any metallic paints - they are a real wench to touch-up. I once had an emerald green (which drove me nuts because it wore badly) and a metallic blue (which looked like crap when I did any touch-ups), and I basically swore I'd never have another metallic or dark-colored car. Since then, I've only bought white cars and trucks. On my AW, touching up is not a problem.

That being said, I absolutely LOVE the metallic paints, but for me and my OCD tendencies, there is no way I could live with it unless the car was completed coated with XPEL.
