Nice to see how pros work and test, whatever one might think of the sound...which they carefully didn't reveal (much).

Cool vid. I hope the resulting exhaust sounds as amazing as their other products. I have this exhaust order. Can't wait!

No warm feelings in the belly sorry
Akra is (most of the time) more a hyped up product than anything else.. Certainly in this case. Vid didn't show that much either? I expected to see raw versions and production footages.

I think you might have had the wrong expectations from a video titled "secret work" on a exhaust then...

Hyped up or not, I wonder how many of the other manufacturers test and log that extensively? The fit and finish, weight savings (it's made in titanium AFAIK) and quality of the product probably sets it apart from many stainless steel competitors.

Some like it, some don't.

I never said anything on quality, finish etc. I can appreciate an Akrapovic exhaust, even wanted one for the 335i but never could justify the extra cost for 'poorer' sound. The most important aspect for me to change a stock exhaust. I'm personally not extremely set on weight savings and material.

Terrible indeed, you get my point. I wouldn't spend that amount of dough on it for making it sound worse than stock. MPE is best I've heard so far. Expect Eisenmann & Meistershaft to be good as well.

IMO Akra for the M5 F10 doesn't do it either, not for that amount of money. Heard both Akra and Eisenmann Sport irl and the latter sounds way better.
Pair it (Akra) with DP's and that would be another story, but shouldn't be the point either!

+1 - it'll be interesting to see if Akra will continue to be successful with super pricey exotic material exhausts that, in this case, really don't add much and might just detract.

I would also like to see some before and after dynos between stock exhaust (at sport plus setting, of course) and aftermarket.

I at least would like to know if anybody has this exhaust or heard it in real life, those comments are far more valuable than what audio or representation we get from the videos. I really am in such two minds between the m performance and Akra. More importantly does anybody know if you can mix the akra downpipes with the MPE? Unfortunately in South Africa besides BMW parts akra is the only alternative to not lose motorplan. I have ordered everything else except the rear diffuser and exhaust, this is the last bit to complete my mod list. Hehe... For now!

Beautiful craftsmanship. Awesome quality. But akra was never the best sounding exhaust. For the price it's just not worth it. Maybe for the bling factor. That's all

+1. I've helped a friend install an Akra Evo system on his car. The quality was mind blowing, and it was so light compared to the stock system.

But for this particular car, I'm far from impressed with the sound, especially for the price.

I expect the Eisenmann to sound much better to be honest, I'm a big fan of their stuff even though they weigh just as much as the stock system.
