The Send-off.
A very prominent, universal concern across all the departments in our facility is the adherence to details. Little things make big things happen. In this case, it’s packaging and shipping AWE Tuning product. Throughout our moving process, our shipping department has had to maintain the standard regardless of the conditions. Now, their new stations are coming together and the shipping department is bustling! Stay tuned! |

Crippa Engage.
Our 17,000 pound bender has claimed its space in our new HQ and all systems are on the verge of getting the green light. With our fabrication team increasing by 30%, additional shipping staff, and our new machinery coming online, lead times are going to be affected by the hell-bent wrath of our Crippa in a great way! MK4 1.8T, MK5 2.0T, MK6 Jetta 2.5 and GLI 2.0T (Touring and Track Edition), MK7 2.0T (non-catted), and B8/8.5 S4 (Touring, Track) / S5 (Touring, Track) hand-crafted systems will all be given lead times of (about) two weeks! For those attending our 2015 BBQ & Car Show (new date!), you’ll get to tour our new HQ and see our 17,000 pound Crippa first hand (from behind the fence, of course). Territory Marked Unique sign number two, made of 304 stainless steel. We practice what we preach. And we mean business. Spot this sign and make a turn on to Precision Drive. Come see where precision resides. We welcome you! The Collaboration Station. Our main conference room has been decked out. Complete with a custom table featuring unique characteristics and graphics depicting the pillars of AWE Tuning. On the wall hangs the original 24-year-old AWE Tuning sign, looking better than ever. |

Meet Abbi. Don’t mess with her.
Allow me to introduce AWE Tuning’s newest workhorse -- the AWE Tuning ABB IRB 1600... and we’ve affectionately dubbed her, “Abbi” (pronounced like Abby). We’re about speed, accuracy, quality and efficiency. While not taking away from the handcrafted nature of AWE Tuning exhausts, it was time to cut out some cutting. It was time to recruit a robot. Cue the ABB IRB 1600 -- a 250kg robot with a 6kg payload, devoted to high performance. Very appropriate. Why ABB? Why Abbi?
X-pipes, which are featured in a number of our exhaust systems, would take eight minutes to cut on a mill. With the IRB that production is reduced by 98.6%, completing the cut in 6.6 seconds from start to finish. Wow. Check out the inception of the AWE Tuning ABB IRB 1600 below and stay tuned for footage of it in action: Last edited by Josh/AWE; 05-06-2016 at 03:28 PM.. |
