It is always difficult to get an accurate depiction of color indoors.

I also have RAW versions of the pics I took. I typically don't do anything with the RAW files other than saving these "digital negatives" for archive purposes, however, I did pull the RAW file for one pics that I posted which provides a more accurate rendering of YMB. The first picture below is from the RAW file. the second picture from the JPEG file I posted previously.
Dear Akbm3,

Well done, and Im glad that you are a nikon man as well . I do have an advice that may help a bit.

Shooting RAW is a must. But... where do you process the RAW files? The reason im asking is that the RAW files are Raw(none cooked colors), therefor you have to be a chef to cook it . If you are not a "chef" who is good in images processing via (Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop..etc) then shooting JPG is the best for you.

So, if you are a chef, then you are most probably using Adobe products which are my choice until I discovered very interesting thing! .. No one can read NEF RAW files better than the one who created it (Nikon). So, processing photos with Nikon's software (View NX) is much much better than any other software! Try it and you will find it better in Colors, Shadows and Sharpness. You will notice a color change when you open photos in adobe lightroom. Because the first moments when you import photos you may notice beautiful colors and exposure transform to dull and dark photos. Simply because Nikon kept it as a secret and it wont let any third party to enjoy that beautiful colors in Raw "which is a real secret that Nikons engineers spent hell of time to reach". So, Cooking each pixel is a tough job that no third party can reach as Nikon View NX.

Another advice, Try adjusting the white balance since you shoot RAW. Indoor shooting is always tricky.

I hope that helps in some how .. regards

Btw, my current camera is D4

Nice pics, although not in the market for anyone. 40% tax on catalogue price, before 21% sales tax makes new cars like these for the filthy rich only.

I'm either AY or SO M3 at this point. I think YMB will be too sky blue for me.

I went today too, sat in the M3. The M4 was in the back of the BMW exhibit, kinda weird.

Honestly wasn't impressed really at all. They didn't blow me away, like the reactions I have been reading on this forum. The M3 did look more aggressive.

Guess I was expecting too much. Hope they drive well.

Yas Marina looked really good in person. A lot more metallic in it than I thought. On the curves of the body, it almost seemed like it changed color as you walked around it (to a lighter blue color). It was a very interesting blue metallic.

Nice pics! After just seeing both cars at the Toronto Auto Show, I feel like the colours look much better reversed (Austin on the M4, and Yas Marina on the M3). I'm not a huge fan of Austin altogether, but it seems more suited to the M4.

The M3 was open yesterday (Saturday), however the M4 was still locked. I really wasn't a fan of the YMB but the AY on the M3 looked great!

The M3 was open saturday, I sat in it for a good while, the cabin does seem more spacious and comfortable than my E92. As far as the colors go, most will have to see in person, austin yellow is a little lighter than the pictures portray it to be, and the raw file of ymb posted above is fairly close to what it is in real life. The M4 does look like it needs a drop right away, it's sitting like a SUV when i saw it. M3>M4 in my opinion, depends on what you like.

Just saw these cars this morning... I am a huge M fan, and have owned 2 M3 CP and now a '14 F10 CP... Here are my thoughts on these two cars... So regarding the exterior and colors.... I am disappointed on how different the blue looked in person... It looks way lighter and softer than what I've seen in pics....The M4 definitely looks a lot wider from the back than the M3, and that trunk lid was pretty sick...The front end I was not impressed with, it looked like they tried too hard and forgot that simple sometimes is more.. Now on to the interior... I sat in the M3, and have to say the finish out was not a big step forward... You cannot cover up the cup holders like all the other M cars and the seats were very supportive but looked a little cheap because the lack of headrest separation.... All in all the car was great, but left me not wanting to call my dealership and place an order.....I'm sure the performance of these two will be fantastic, but in my opinion a V8 TT with 500 hp and then all the use of CF to save weight would destroy the other competition in its class... We will definitely see if these two can prove themselves like the e92 and e90 did... So, in conclusion would I buy one of these cars over my F10 or other M3's (e46, e92) definitely not...I did see the GT3 and Macan Turbo- great cars! Here are pics:

That sucks you can't cover the cup holders. I don't like that.

Hopefully some enterprising aftermarket company makes a small snap-in piece with trim to fix that.

I'm pretty sure you can. It's exactly like my F30. It comes with a cover that snaps in place.

I went to the show earlier and spent a fair amount of time at the BMW exhibit.

The M4 was locked, still. The color did nothing for me. Waaaay too smurf blue for my tastes. I spent more time looking at the M3. I did not like the Austin Yellow, either. I did get to sit inside the M3. The instrument panel looked good, better than the standard F30. I was rather confused on the leather! There is leather by the driver right knee, and more on the door, vs. the standard F30. This is not part of package, but just standard on the F8x cars? There was no leather on the dash, or glovebox area.

The seats were good. Maybe not substantially different in feel than the F30 Sport/M-sport seats, but hard to tell without more time actually driving in them.

The M3/M4 and the "volume" cars were getting the most attention from the people at the show. The X3/X5 and even the F33 were getting big crowds. Actually, the F22 228i looked really good, and was getting a lots of attention as well! The F22 looks better in person, than all the pictures I've seen. I like it a lot! The F82 was nice of course, but being a former E92 M3 owner, it just wasn't strongly appealing. Just too long and stretched for only 2 doors. If a sporty coupe is what you're after, I think the M235i proportions are just better overall.

The poor i3 was by itself, and no one seemed interested. A few younger people walked by and made some disparaging remarks about it. That is unfortunate, but it obviously doesn't have the wow-factor of the M3/M4.
