but you don't know what you are taking about regarding traction/suspension because you don't access to that 1 special on ramp curve that is TRz06's benchmark for performance cars

RWD cars, you carry the speed into the curve, hit the apex, then WOT. Unless you plan on drifting on a public road. I've been to 2 bmw sponsored events with autocross, you're going to get sent home early doing that kind of shit. That's the first thing they teach out of you. That guy needs an AWD car.

how come the GT350 is not called the Shelby anymore? Or is it the same thing?

It's a great ramp to expose suspension tuning flaws. It tells you how quickly any given car's suspension recomposes after being upset mid-corner with load on the suspension

Congrats. I made the switch, albeit the GT350 is my secondary car. Zero regrets.

Congrats! Just got a 16 350R. Awesome car, shifter is great, suspension works wonders and engine/exhaust is epic. Downside is the size, feels a little big but getting used to it.

Did it come like that from the factory with those red decals or did you add them yourself? Also, how would you compare the acceleration from 0 to 60 vs an M3/M4?

I was shopping the M4 and the GT 350 very closely. It was my first "big" sports car purchase and I wanted to get it right. I absolutely adore the GT350 and the engineering that Ford has put into the Voodoo is just awesome. I understand the Mustang being common knock but for the drivers like US we can spot the 350 on the road. Just like a BMW guy can always spot the Ms out of the crowd. The GT350 looks awesome and the exhaust note would never get boring. However, I just can't get over how attractive the M4 is (to me). As an M4 "fanboy" I admit that when I see a GT350 pass by I look at it and say that's a very nice muscle car. And in the near future when the GT500 drives the GT350 prices down I'll be there lol.

Pure sex man. GT350 is the best bang for your buck in performance, especially the R model. The magnetic suspension, sticky ass tires, transmission, and of course the FPC make it unreal for the money you pay and not many other brands can compare performance wise. That is just fact. I am a huge mustang guy and have had one of each pretty much. Great purchase.

If he has the base interior (like I do). God rest his soul. It's so cheap. Plasticy. I'm not a fan. The only GOOD thing is it is SO easy to clean it. That's about it. |

I actually went the other way and got rid of some alcantara. One of the few things I missed from my M3/4 was the steering wheel. I just installed a custom steering wheel and it is modeled after the M one. It is a thicker Nappa leather version and I like it a lot better than the thinner alcantara stock version. Love the GT350. I was actually a signature away from taking one home, but I just could not get over how big the car felt (bigger than my M3 which says a lot). Otherwise, it is one awesome car.

It's pretty close to the M3/4 weight. I do feel the weight in my M3 when the car is trying to take a set line and you can feel the weight wanting to push you.

The first time I got behind the wheel I found the cockpit comfortable in size, however the car felt a bit bigger than expected while driving. The car has a lot of weight up front and a long hood. You can feel the added weight compared to the M3. However, once you drive the car for an hour or two, you immediately start feeling the car 'shrink around you' due to the tight steering and responsiveness. At first, I wasn't satisfied with the steering, but that was simply because I prefer a heavy wheel - once I found 'track' mode, I was immediately pleased. I drive the car around in track mode everywhere. IMHO, in addition to the magneride, the electric steering rack in the GT350 feels heaps better than the F80 M3.
