For me personally, I chose this color to not be normal, and to not blend into the sea of white, black, and grey on the roads. Even on these forums something like 70% or more have AW M3's. I initially wanted AW/SO but after seeing how many there were I decided to go the other direction. The M3/4 is a great looking car regardless of color and I just wanted to think outside the box. The important thing is I like the color and every person who has seen the Snot Rocket in person has enjoyed it as well.

I knew exactly what I was getting into ordering Austin Yellow. I know it's a love it or hate it color and everybody has their own opinion which is perfectly fine.

I respect all the feedback and I'm sure more pictures will be had in the spring... Winter is really starting to rear its ugly head here in Pittsburgh so there may not be any more opportunities this year.

Also for those interested here is the link to the photographer's Flickr from the shoot. He's always there at our CNC meets and has worked with a bunch of some of the best cars we have to offer. Definitely worth a look.

Baskin Robbins makes 31 flavors because not everyone likes vanilla. And so it is with BMW. Various colors are offered because everyone doesn't want black. I have seen AY in person and the pictures don't do it justice. That said, I still personally wouldn't order it. There again what do I know; my car is white. Different strokes for different folks. I for one am glad different colors are available so everyone doesn't have the same.

Nice pics, by the way.

Lol, it's not a bad camera. It's a bad attempt at HDR post processing. It takes a little more that capturing a bracket to produce a good HDR image. Not a horrible first attempt though.
