Hello all, I'm a SNCO stationed in England and new member to the forum. I currently own a 2001 E46 M3 that I brought used in 2004. I wanted to purchase an E92 M3 when I arrived in the UK. Unfortunately, I waited a little too long and missed the opportunity because all remaining slots were gone due to the factory setting up for the F8X M production. Initially I wasn't too thrilled when the dealer showed me photos of what the M4 was going to look like, but then I saw the YouTube video of the M4 premiere and I was instantly in love. Then a customer M4 arrived at the showroom and my dealer emailed me to have me take a look... and at that moment I wanted to marry the car. I'm planning to place my order in the Feb 2015 timeframe (after my motorcycle is paid off).

My choice:
- SS exterior w/full merino leather ss interior
- Carbon fiber trim
- Executive package
- Driver's assistance plus
- Lighting package.
- Manual trans
- Adaptive M suspension
- 19 inch black alloy wheels
- Avanced USB port
- Harmon Kardon upgrade
- Side and top view cameras

I was wondering how you guys are getting a cheaper insurance quote? I was quoted $265 for full coverage. I'm 39 years old with zero accidents on my record and one speeding ticket that was over nine years ago. Lastly, I'm trading in my M3 and putting down more than the required 10%, but I'm torn between also throwing in my motorcyle or keeping it. I have a 2012 R1 that I brought brand new and currenly has only 2500 miles on it. I love my bike to death, but I also haven't rode it since Dec 2012. For those of you who also own motorcycles, what would you do?

I don't own a motorcycle but I will say if you don't drive it much now I bet when your m4 arrives you will never want to drive it as that car will be so much fun. So think about trading it maybe??
I assume this is not your first time overseas so you know insurance in europe is high for everyone (with usaa relative to what it will be in the states) regardless of age or record on new cars. The minimum coverages are different and have to be enough to cover the exchange rates. However I went with a local insurance company here in spain for the m3 that specifically deals with many american policies here. My premium was 1200 euros for the year. 28 with no accidents or tickets and usaa wanted i think a 3000 dollar an some change premium for the year.

Ouch. The M3 will add $59/mo to our insurance policy. 10k miles a year with a 30yo additional driver. I'm 39 as the primary though, and this is stateside. I guess USAA gets nervous about overseas policies or something. Either that or coverage requirements are very different.

I'm in the same boat as Breed. I'm 28 no tickets or violations. USAA wanted $3700 a year for Germany. I am using a local insurance agency instead which I have used since I moved here in 2006 and they are charging me 126 euros a month. Much better deal if your overseas to shop around a bit since USAA is always more expensive.

The coverage requirements in Europe are more. Also they have to make sure it will be enough to cover the euro exchange rate as the dollar is worth less. My car only shipped so fast because it was going within Europe so it was either put on a truck or a train.

Buyer beware of Bavarian Motor Cars (BMC)!

BMC (Steve Garcia, Joe Cumiskey, and Margit Moreau) deceptively sold me a 2015 M3 for which they had no allocation. They did not disclose that fact and instead told me at the time of my order (over 5 mos ago), that it was accepted (Code 111)--when in reality it was code 105. BMC took my 10% deposit and strung me along month after month, even refusing to cancel my order unless I paid 15% of the car's total value. BMC took 10 days to clear a USAA certified bank check for the balance then refused to provide a receipt for payment.

Bottom line, unless you desire and experience characterized by deception, delays, lost interest, etc., strongly recommend you not engage with their Military Sales.

Note. Joe Cumiskey, listed on BMC website as SA and/or Sales Manager is actually Vice President of BMC Ltd, and BMC GmbH, which are the same according to BMWNA. BMC USA also appears to be one in the same.

I'm sorry to hear that... What is happening now? Are you going to be able to get a refund?

I ordered from Pentagon Car Sales(PCS). So far, so good.

Order was accepted, got everything squared away. My SA, Joe Kieser has been great as well. He responds almost right away via email and is quick to explain anything I have a question about. I asked for a production number the other day and he got it to be within ten minutes. He also explained that it might not work in BMWNA's system, which makes sense because BMWNA doesn't really get word of the order until it's about to leave port where they'll take accountability of the car when it arrives until it goes to the dealer for delivery.

Last month to order through Pentagon MSP is June. I'm still trying to get word if only they are going to stop selling BMWs through the program or if BMW is stopping the MSP.

Just got my VIN.

Surprised there isn't more of us on here.

EDIT: How long after you got your VIN were you able to track it in the website?

I was never able to track on the website. I am told that Mil sales isn't available to track online. Once I got my VIN my car went into production about 2 days later.Congrats, car will be done before you know it.

Ordered, just waiting on a VIN and production to start

Ordered an F80 through Superior a couple of months ago - 6MT, MW, Full SB, Wood, Adaptive Suspension, CFR, HK, Sunshade, 18s. I have a build week 10 - first week of March - but no VIN yet.
I pulled the trigger and bought it without a test drive, as I had to decide while still deployed "over here" to get the discount. I can't wait to see how it compares to the e39 M5 I had for a couple of years.

Contacts for buying?

Read this entire thread and don't much other than going through BMC which I have been having trouble getting a response from. Can any one post or PM me another source to purchase under the mil program?

Thanks,
Jason

I drove a launch car(F80/F82) before I shipped off to Korea. I was fully planning to order blind, but I had the opportunity to drive it. In the amount of time I had with it, I must say it was better than the descriptions and certainly looks better than the pictures show.

I ordered December 1st, car is at port awaiting a vessel.

I placed my order with PCS Vicenza Jan 22nd and I'm scheduled for a week 10 build; I'm hoping that my VIN will be sent next week. I'm super for this particular vehicle, I've owned 7 other BMWs and none have come with my current level of impatience for the delivery . Speaking of delivery I'll be picking her up from the Welt in late March I presume. Once the VIN is released I can start working on the pick-up date. Very excited indeed to receive my M3
