Owner’s Manual - Some light reading at work today

Anyone else actually RTFM? I skimmed before pick up, and had some test drives to figure some things out, but still exploring, as I'm finding this isn't just a tarted up F30.

I always pull the owners manual out the first night I bring the cars home and leave them on my night table for a few days to read a bit before I go to sleep. When I'm done it goes right back into the glove box.

I have always read the owner's manual for every car that I've owned, cover to cover. Since BMW made owner's manuals available online I download the PDF to my tablet and read it before an upcoming Euro Delivery.

And then I laugh at all the people who post in the "What did you learn or discover about your M3/M4 today?" thread who have had their car for a year or more and had no idea about some feature. Cars are far too complex and feature-laden these days to figure out everything by yourself. It's the same for most electronics devices today, like a phone, A/V receiver, 4K TV, etc. Chances are, whatever you just bought has way more features that what it replaced. Why live in ignorance and miss some really neat features?

Sweet burner phone!

I read it cover to cover. Learn a few things every time.

I read the basics on the plane flight to Munich...it's a lot more exciting before you get the car! The tablet version makes it easy to answer questions as they come up. I'm sure I've not uncovered all the things the iDrive/infotainment system can do. While the regular manual covers the basics, the NBT has a completely separate manual. I downloaded it but haven't read it. Congrats on the car!

As a proud holder of the "man card", I consult owner's manual only after all else fails.
