Good deal??
Gents,
First post, long time lurker...... Anywho, after a 6yr hiatus, i've returned to Germany and I'm itching to get an M4. I'm looking at 2 this Saturday and I'd like to get some opinions fromt the experts! Here's what I got from the dealer, seem like base model cars to me, only difference I can see is that the orange car has adaptive suspension. What's your opinion as far as price they're asking? Also, anything you can think of that I should keep in mind or look for when I go see them on Saturday? Both are 6MT... Well, I drove the cars for about an hour each, went over the same route so that I could get a fair comparison of the adaptive and regular suspensions on the same piece of road and honestly, I just couldn't tell much difference. They had 6 M4's total, all 2015's, ranging from 7k miles to 20k miles.
I'm somewhat interested in a Yas Marina blue model that was there....what do you guys think resale on this color will be like 3-5yrs from now? Its not something i generally think about but for some reason, its on my mind this time. Last edited by metomwhou; 01-14-2018 at 09:10 PM.. |

The price on the cars is really good. Do you know who was prior owner? Are they BMW Performance Center cars? Ie., used by BMW for the performance M school..

Unfortunately I don't know who the previous owners were, i can ask the question about the performance school thing. They are being sold through one of the BMW military sales dealers here in Germany.
For sure the SilverStone has had something done to the exhaust, both myself and my the two people with me noticed that it was a bit louder/throatier. |

If your based in Germany the vehicles can be M's from the BMW Driving Experience training. I was told at the Academy last September 2017 that all of the vehicles are sold. Does BMW military sales offer any type of CPO warranty as in the US Performance Center vehicle's can not be CPO'd. A low mileage non-CPO vehicle is a big red flag of a prior performance vehicle.

Thanks for the heads up!
Actually, this dealership is selling them as CPO and offers a 1yr warranty from time of delivery. Also, these particular cars still have bmw warranty until october and december of 2018, according to the salesman I'm working with. |

So here's the answer I got from the salesman:
"Both of these M4s are one owner cars purchased through the Military program overseas (they have never been to the US) and not demonstrator or program cars. Both were traded in for other vehicles due to Family circumstances (financial or moves). I am not really sure what the certified pre-owned label is 100% as there are so many variations. But according to the definition below it is. We actually pay to have an inspection done on the car prior to us buying it to make sure there were no accidents and or issues. Of course if any are found we would then complete the repairs and disclose what is done to potential buyers. Both cars have had no issues or accidents. When sold, we put it through an internal inspection and then service the cars prior to delivery A certified pre-owned car is no more than 6 years old and has less than 100,000 miles. To receive a certification, the dealer puts the car through an extensive inspection. Some dealers will complete repairs or perform needed maintenance if something is found during this inspection. Typically, only the best used cars in the fleet are picked to be certified, which means the car likely hasn't had extensive bodywork and hasn't been in a major accident." |

I'm gonna need to purchase winter tires here in germany. The salesman says that its not good for and expensive to swap out the Runflats for winter tires and back again in the summer....Is this true?
Also, will 18" M2 wheels work on an M4? I found a guy selling a set of M2 wheels with 235/40 18 fronts and 255/40 18 rears for a really good deal. |
