You know they are quoting the price in pounds not dollars right?
UK price starts at £ 56,190.00 for an M3 https://www.bmw.co.uk/en_GB/index.html |

Oh, you have to sit inside it. Motor Trend says it is the best sounding BMW ever. But that is thanks to fake digital engine noise coming through the speakers!

BMW has learned a valuable less from De Beers this time around, trickle them out slowly and let demand fight over them. They didn't use this strategy with the last Ms early on and got caught with a bunch sitting around on lots and dealers had to offer deals to get them sold.
With current production, re this first wave, dealers are loading them up with options, north of $90k in some cases, and do to the low/slow numbers of production out of BMW, dealers will probably get some, trend setters I suspect, to pay full MSRP and in some extreme cases, even over.

1/4 mile and 0-60 in my M6 were using DSC off mash and go as well . LC is only good for a perfect surface or laying down 200 ft of rubber for fun . |

This is exactly how it was the last time I bought an M3- my 2004. There was a waiting list and a good deal was getting the car at MSRP as some were selling above MSRP! I never saw a single M3 on a lot in 2004. The dealers would have one in the showroom that nobody was allowed to test drive. I didn't mind paying MSRP ($60k) and ordering it the way I wanted. It wound up being the most reliable and one of the cheapest cars I have ever owned, as I still have it 10 years later and it hasn't hit 40k miles yet.
I never felt an urge to upgrade it to an E92 M3 but this M4 is a different story... Quote:

Yeah I believe you are correct. But I have seen some numbers in the mid to hi 3s, which has to be with LC. Not a bad thing for the drag strip but as a DD, not so much IMO. But hey it's free with the $3000 tranny so why not.

Too bad it takes more than a nail to shut up the average uneducated forum poster that hasn't even driven the vehicle in question but wants to spew hate ( for BMW) from a keyboard. ....

Fact Check?
I didn't realize the old M3 was also an E92. Thought that was the designation for the non-M 3-serise coupes. The new M4 a second faster than the old M3? My E92 335i coupe ('07) was cited at 0-60 in 4.9 by BMW, and BMW being BMW, I know that was a conservative figure. How could the old M3 have been 5.1 for the same metric? Is it a UK vs. US difference? All the best. PS Yes, the new M-cars are wonderful. Regardless of Mr. Hammond's accuracy on the points above, he's got that right.

Lol, have you seen this one? Apparantly the M4 is more of a 5.6 - 5.9s car in some hands

I just got the August issue of Motor Trend today. 0-60 was tested at 3.8 for M3, 3.9 for M4, both with the DCT. They even put those numbers up on the cover. Great shot of both cars!
