Those seem to get me the "most for my buck" as of now. Any votes on these or something else?

Thought about downpipes?

I have! I wanted the full evo kit but no longer available so I'm starting wifi the axle back and working my way up to the Downpipes in time. Though I should've probably done it the other way around.

I normally wouldn't have the means for an M3. I was fortunate enough to make money on the sale of my first house and I used a large chunk of that for a down payment and still comfortably pay all my other bills and new mortgage.

YA usually you would do DP first.. If DPs are planned then I would get a resonated exhaust.

You cannot get an Akra slip-on for 2k much less an evo Downpipes from VSRF would be the best bang for your buck.

Why so he can spend double the money BM3 costs for a worse platform?

I can't speak for the BM3 since I don't have any experience with that tune But I do have the VF HEX tune

No, so he can have the most thoroughly tested and well developed flash option on the market.

It's funny seeing someone who doesn't have either product talk about which is the "worse platform". You might want to save your praise an unabashed pandering until after you actually have first hand experience with a flash tune of your own.

Some people will spend their money on BM3 for the features built into the platform so they can customize it and data log on their own. Others will prefer to spend their money on HEX Tuning so they don't have to.

I spent my money before I developed an opinion. Cheaper does mean better, and features you may never even use doesn't equal benefit.

OK guy who works at SupremePower and sells VF tunes. Just sayin.

I have first hand experience with the VF tune btw. I dont need to buy it to form an opinion. I have driven both STG1 and STG2.

My car will be getting BM3 within a couple weeks.

Wrong and wrong.
I was a paying customer before I worked with Supreme for a short stint. I didn't have any skin the the game when I purchased my HEX Flash and I haven't had any skin in the game with Supreme or VF/HEX since.

I've also never bad mouthed a product I don't own or intend to own. And I've never bandwagoned a product before putting my money where my mouth is.

Driving or going for a drive in someone's car hardly constitutes first have experience. You said "worse platform", and commented on price.

It's true that people form uneducated opinions all the time, thats what keeps it an opinion and not fact. BM3 has a unique platform that's intriguing based on its lower initial cost and ability to customize. I have credit where credit is due.

By my first hand experience HEX Tuning has the widest range of available MAPs, the simplest process for port flashing between stock and tuned files, and the best gains on pump fuel with proven dyno results and track results.

My car will be getting BM3 within a couple weeks.[/QUOTE]

Let's talk then! Make sure you come with dyno plots, and time slips, cause I have mine (1/4 mile and 1/2 mile). Maybe we can FaceTime and have a flash-off to see who can change MAPs quicker while at the track as I'm filling up with race fuel.

Back to the OP's original question - HEX Tuning is the one product (IMHO) that offers the best bang for the buck of any singular mod you will ever use. It's just not as cheap as some may wish it was, but still worth ever penny.

Donate to those who have to pay back. That is the best bang for the buck.

I appreciate everyone's suggestions. Though I understand downpipes and a tune would've done a hell of a job for what I wanted to spend I was able to get my hands on a used Akrapovic Full Evolution exhaust. Not just any used one though, it came off EAS' own M4 as they are ready to part out and sell it.

Here are some pictures from earlier today:

Good catching up, glad to be part of your build. You simply were in the right place at the right time for the Akra EVO, it looks awesome on your M3.

That snuck in there, we're helping out a longtime friend that's in need of some work.

A quick cold start on a rainy day. Very tame revs because it was early and I don't want the neighbors to hate me but you get the idea.

Sounds great

Akrapovic is the best. Money well spent. Videos never do justice!
