My new M3 Comp Pack BSM

I've had it for a week now and been too busy enjoying the car to take photos. Just gave it a wash and throught I'd throw up some pics whilst it's nice and shiny. Nothing done to it yet but planning a few things, mostly cosmetic which I'll start soon.

It's now safetly nestled next to my wife's X5.

Nice choice! It's only fair when the X5 has the same power as your car

Well done it looks great. The black 666s are really cool. What's planned?

I have the same car coming in 3 weeks and I?m still debating if the black 666?s are the way to go with black car.

How do you like them?

It's going to be pretty much cosmetic stuff and exhaust. I honestly don't think the car needs more power for my use. I won't be tracking it and on the road it's a rare occassion you get to use what it has.

On the list right now are spoiler (still deciding which one), the CF DCT cover and gear surround, CF steering wheel trim, and CF handbrake with alcantara. I'm also considering side skirts but really not sure about them.

Will probably get wheel spacers as well.

Exhaust wise I want the MPE or Akra. I did have the MPE on the order but took it off due to pressure from the other half. Really regret that decision now as it's just not loud enough. Till I decide which one to go with and can convince the wife to let me buy it I have some larger black tips on their way from BMS just to make it look a bit better.

Honestly they look great. One of the first things I usually do is get new shoes for my cars and I was pricing up some Vorsteiners whilst this was on order. Now that I have it I've dropped that idea. I'm really happy with the look of them and replacing them is at the very bottom of my list. The only issue is not being able to make the car more unique which is a big driver for getting new wheels so we will see how long it stays at the bottom

Yeah, that part wasn't pleasant. It's getting Ceramic Pro coating in a few days so I'm hoping that will reduce the effort to clean them by a fair bit.

Anyone got a link to the right product to protect the wheels and make them easier to clean?

Get the newest opticoat. Hose off at the servo weekly, proper wash monthly (or less, I'm busy).

100% get it on the track. no other way to use the cars potential,
wont hurt your car, just waste some fuel and tires,

I may do one day but not really keen to risk damaging the car. Only takes one screw up and suddenly find yourself with a very large repair bill

I love the design of the 666. I would never change them from my 30 Jahre, but I totally understand your point regarding black on black.

I've never been a fan of Black wheels, as I thought they hide the design of some wheels and make the wheels look smaller than what they are.

Is there a chance that you can drop by the dealership you purchased from and ask if they can fit a set of silver 666's to one side of the car to give you an idea of what they would look like? Perhaps you can ask them if they can swap them with an LCI demo. Just a thought.

Dealer was cool. Told me they will swap them for silver ones when the car comes in if I want. I guess I?ll have to see the black ones ones it comes in. Good thing is that the black ones are not fully black.

i find i don't like matte black rims either, but the forged black 666's are a totally different story. they're more a satin and will go very well with frozen white

I'm sure the dealer is happy to swap seeing as they charge more for the black version.

They are a satin black on the inside and the face is more like gun metal. They look fantastic. I saw a black on with the standard 666m wheels and really didn't do it for me. If they were all that was on offer they would have been straight off and something aftermarket would already be on it

I’ve coated my wheels and a pressure washer isn’t enough.

I use a fallout remover and pressure washer and still need to sponge.

Very nice car Kier. Seems like there's a fair few former 328i owners upgrading to M3s!
Enjoy. Great colour combo with all the M performance goodies.

Thanks mate. Certainly seems that way. Loved my 328 but with the deals they are doing on M3s right now I almost felt obliged to upgrade
