Correct me if I'm wrong, but I looked up the specs for both pilot sport 4S and MPSS on Tirerack and it's showing that the tread width is larger on the MPSS? Does that sound right? The first picture attached is the PS4S, and the second picture is MPSS.

6 months later generally very happy. The ride in the city(terrible roads) you feel everything. On the freeway it is PURE JOY. The look is vastly superior too.

Both. A minimum of 5mm spacer is needed for clearance. After that it's looks. Particularly with the camber, the top of the wheel would look pushed in otherwise

Just picked mine up, it's made quite a difference to the handling, very flat, less bounce, more planted.
Not harsh, in fact no real difference in comfort, driven back in sport+ mode. Not cheap but a great upgrade.

I'm two weeks in or so and got my software updated this week. Had a long run yesterday and today on some small country roads. Plenty of poor surfaces and undulations.
I'm really impressed with the setup. I had the car a week prior to software and to me there is a signicant change since the update. It feels like the damper has a lot more travel, the car rolls a bit more and seems to soak up the undulations very well. I've also been using sport plus on some surfaces to try and maintain body control. Seriously impressive and not harsh at all. There is a comment on the coding section regarding the CS settings. The guy seems to be seriously impressed with the damping changes. EVO also commented very positively on the damping on a MY18 ZCP review they did. Maybe they have finally cracked the damping after all... Only negative are the noises from the suspension.. makes quite a racket up front. Anyone else have this? |

Only rubbish ones, I'm going to let it settle then I think I'll raise it 5mm at the back and drop it 5mm more at the front.

I just had this installed in my F80.
It's excellent. Looks a whole lot better, feels and handles better, no noise or any other complaints at all. Far better than stock, and the ACS springs as well. Money well spent. |

So in terms of which way the MP suspension surpasses the ACS springs. It rides better (smooth and planted) ? also more comfortable?

The coding or software update that they after installation of these is that specific for these or it just for the whole care and the suspension is one of the things that is addressed in this.
Only reason I ask is because I have a 2018 M3 ZCP on order and wanted to get these installed. I figure my car will come with the latest software. After I install these is there software update needed or because my car just got built it won't require it? Thanks in advance |

I have a splitter and its sideways up the steeper speed bumps. The splitter is well hammered from being on ACS. Luckily its the plastic one and not Carbon..

Totally made up with the update though, the car is very solid and a joy to drive, money well spent.

BMW M Performance HAS adopters. I'm looking for more feedback from long term usage. I've read one or two forum members with 6months usage and i suspect given the size of this thread we should have more folks who can chime in please.
Questions for you. How long have you had it installed? After the springs settled was the ride bouncy etc...? Did you need to adjust the height after it settled? Did it develop unreasonable noises? Did it meet your expectations? Appreciate your time on responding. |
