Tanzanite is not very dark blue. It's lighter than Interlagos, for example. Still very deep and multidimensional. Looking great seen live. Pictures here are shot in dark day, therefore this colour seems to be much darker. Compared to Jerez Black, this can't be compared at all.

Check it out in person. It's got a lot of gorgeous turquoise fleck in it that doesn't come through in these pics. You can see it easily in the 650i Convertible Individual thread from a Frankfurt or Geneva auto show though.

It won't be $5000. Probably about $1800 or so. Still a lot more expensive than the standard non-Individual colors, but not too bad.

Are you sure this will be an "official" Individual color like on the M5/6? Those cars launched with this color available at that price point. If you're sure, any knowledge around availability?

Was just visiting Toronto and they had a 750 in Tanzanite on the showroom floor. Personally I think it looks great on a larger car (I would have ordered it on my Gran Coupe if had gone with a 2015). But seriously, with the color palette available on the M4 (yuck), this has to be a consideration.

Edit - note the metallic flake does not show in these pictures. But let me put it this way, if you have ever seen Deep Sea Blue - that color looks non-metallic compared to TB.

Very nice color. If I had it to do over again, I might go for it, even though dark colors are a PITA to keep looking good here.

Yep, I do recall the Canadian pricing, but I think that can be safely ruled out for the US. As with your $100 cheaper adaptive suspension, it's one of those few times that you guys pay less for a specific option.

I'm not going to say its official until it's in print in a US pricing guide, however I do have full confidence that will happen.

Okay, all the carbon fiber shit and a nice shade of dark blue goes a long way to make me like this car's looks. Sets off those gold brakes nicely, too! The combo makes even the coupe handsome, I want to see the sedan in that get-up, I bet it'd be a stunner.

Tanzanite Blue is a great color but in places of frequent cloudy weather as the UK is difficult to see the flakes in the glass. It reminds me of Imperial Blue. At a time when sun is amazing what comes out of this.
It is a strong competitor in the Azurite Black individual offer.
