BBS E88 19"

I purchased a set of BBS E88 wheels from a forum member (t1m3less), about 1 month ago. I never got around to install these, as they are sitting in my garage taking up space. As I don't drive the M4 that often as well (just passed 1900 miles, 11 months of ownership), and getting busier with kids, I find myself in my SUV (daily), and shuttling my kids around on my days off.

Thus, I am regrettably considering getting rid of the M4. If I do, I would not have any use for these wheels. I'd (ideally) like to get back what I paid for them, as I have not mounted them (still in the boxes it was shipped in).

Update 2/17/18:

Back up for sale. I no longer have my M4. Sigh.....

Specs are:

19x9.5 ET19
19x11.5 ET44.5

Bridgestone Potenza S04 Pole Position tires, 275/35 front, 305/30 rear. Tires have approximately 2100 miles on them. No damage, scratches, nicks, curb rash etc. I'd say 'swirl marks' more than anything, and a polish would clean these up to a mirror shine. I don't have much experience polishing metal, so I preferred to not try it. I assume it can't be harder than paint correcting?

Thank you

Ahhhh daaamn... When talking to you about buying my wheels you sounded excited on getting a set of wheels.

Ask t1m3less if he had any other potential buyers you could contact.

Wow.

We were both looking forward to get these mounted on your car. And now you're even considering selling the M

Obviously vouching for these wheels. They're in pristine condition and packed very well in individual boxes.

Good luck with everything Andy!

Beautiful wheels! I kept looking at them when they were up for sale by previous owner.

Question about these - aren't they meant for track only? If so, would that mean that their lips are bit softer than a street wheel?

These are motorsport wheels but def not limited to track use. It's a misconception. These are strong enough for street use. Most F8x/E9x and Porsche owners use these on the street as well.

When I had these, i mounted them with 265/35 and 305/30 tires. I ran meaty tires that protected the wheels as well.

Keep in mind that these are 3 piece wheels. Beauty of that is BBS carries stock on the wheel parts -- so for any reason you damage the lip, face or barrel, you can order directly from them.

I mean these are BBS motorsport wheels, what's not to like

dut and t1m3less, thank you for the kind words! Very much appreciated!

Man, I took the car out last night to run some errands, and I'm really going to have to think hard about getting rid of the M4 haha!

amrh, I don't know the weights of the wheels. t1m3less would know, but I know I've seen that info here or on Rennlist (a lot of the 911 guys run these wheels).

And as far as rubbing, t1m3less has the same sized tires I would have used if I mounted these wheels, and he said no rubbing issues at all. I'm currently on stock adaptive suspension. I believe he was on coilovers (on his old silverstone F80), but I can't be for sure.

I'll try to get pictures up when I can. Or feel free to send me a pm with your number, and I'll be happy to text you pictures.

No issues with rubbing when I ran the said tire setup. I was on KW V3 coils as well.

I think you can go a few MM wider on an M4... regardless, it looks like you might even be able to go a tire size up in the rear.

Well... this idea was short lived. I'm getting these wheels put on this Friday lol. Going to keep this M4 for a bit!

Thanks for the motivation, t1m3less!

Sigh...I ended up getting rid of the M4, as wife needed a new car.

So wheels are back up for sale, but with tires. I've updated the first post with info on tires. Will get more pictures up soon.

Any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you!

Right?! Lol It's a shame I have to get rid of these. I most likely won't get back into another BMW M vehicle, so unfortunately will have to sell these off.
