Fuse for Cellink battery?

I'm having a bit of trouble finding which fuse to connect my Cellink Neo battery to. Searched the forums to only find DIY for the multisafer. Hardwiring my F800 dash cam to the battery for parking mode.

Not used the Cellink Neo / F800 dash cam, but I have used 162 (12v outlet) in both my M3 and wifes 2 series convertible for the Cellink B battery pack when installing the BlackVue DR750S-2CH

F82 M4 Cellink Neo - Fuse 146

Tried it with the F800Pro & Cellink Neo combination - Fuse 162 turns off the auxiliary and turns on your parking mode after at least 10 minutes which means you'll drain 10 minutes of the car's battery before cellink battery kicks in. Not good for the long term.

Credit goes to heckyeabro69 in another thread; switched to fuse 146 for the exhaust flaps and it turns on parking mode as soon as the ignition is turned off.

Hope that helps.

You can also use a switched blank with the add-a-fuse adapter for switched power....I've got a picture of this somewhere. I did this on both my M4 and X5.

Fuse 146 is rated at only 5 AMPs though. The battery needs 10 AMP.

Thus, if Fuse 162 is not a good option, which Fuse is rated at least 10 AMP and is killed immediately when the ignition is turned off? Fuse 125 (empty) the best choice?

But I read in another thread that Fuse 125, like Fuse 162, stays on for 10 min after the ignition is killed...

You should be able to use an add-a-fuse adapter. For fuse position 146, the adapter's pigtail/wire should be on the driver side (the passenger side is hot) and the original fuse should be inserted in the bottom slot.

You can add a higher amp circuit as long as you use the adapter correctly. If you put it in backwards current will flow through both fuses in serial, causing the lower rated fuse to blow when the higher amp accessory is powered up.

When I installed the fuse tap to location 146, I did install it correctly. I had the red pigtail wire pointed to the driver-side (I have a US spec car, so it's a left-hand drive car). I inserted the factory 5 amp fuse to the location closest to the fuse tap prongs and inserted the 20 amp fuse that came with the B-124 into the location furthest from the prongs. With that setup, the 5 amp fuse blew and the 20 amp fuse was okay. Fuse 145 location was designed to draw a max of 5 amps. So trying to draw more than that is going to blow the fuse.

As a general rule, the new accessory fuse you are adding, should be rated at the same or less amps as the original factory fuse—never more.
