I'd love to know about the blinker as well. I've had it coded with e-sys and still doesn't change.

For the rear fogs I believe you have to install an actual physical button to get them to work along with enabling the coding. I did that on my 435 and it was pretty cool for when I actually wanted to use them. Mostly just to flash people that were tailgating me.

It would be great if there was a list of features that you could go find in Expert Mode and in what sections they are in and what they do. And if those pesky Germans had written the code stuff in English.

Can some one help me with this please??
That’s a new I drive OS thing. In my 15 I didn’t have to do that but in my buddies 18 I did and it worked without issue.

Did you try it a second time? Maybe revert back to factory and try again?

UPDATE:

I did the video in motion and it worked. Basically you have to push the iDrive controller forwards. You have to push it not press it. I was just pressing the controller and hence nothing was happening.
Silly me!!
Stephen at BimmerCode sent me email when I sent him email with all the logs attached he could see it in the logs where I was wrong and he advised me on it.
It's working perfect now.
I coded the active sound off and initial warning off and it's all working fine.

BimmerCode- Great!!

Just picked up a '17 ZCP this weekend and first thing I did at night was code with BimmerCode. I wanted to add to the ongoing feedback here that it was awesome and extremely easy. Only annoying thing is how slow everything takes to load but it is all well worth the time - I love all the features I turned off/on.

Congrats! I just picked up a 2017 ZCP M3 a couple weeks ago! Which OBD adapter did you buy?

I went with the WiFi: Vgate Wifi iCar2 OBDII Elm327 Code Reader for IOS iPhone iPad Android PC,Auto Sleep https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01FU5MVI8..._SgjcBb21TKF9G

But I will suggest you check out Alex/Alpine. I'm actually about to do the GTS tunes\codes with him tonight or some time this weekend. If you have any interest in getting those, might want to forego BimmerCode altogether and save yourself $50.

I tried to delete the front side marker lights on my 2015 M4 with LED’s, the app claims only available for xenon headlights. Does anyone know if this can be done in expert mode? If so, anyone know how to do it? TIA

I was just about to pull the trigger on the Vgate wifi adapter and read that they no longer are recommended due to different hardware in the newer models. Are there any disadvantages from using the bluetooth version?

Vgate Icar Pro Bluetooth works fine as well. The WiFi version of Vgate icar2 works great as well. The one with issue is the WiFi version of vgate icar Pro.

Bimmercode is the app you need. If I remember right it’s a free DL and you only pay if you activate the full mode, until that point you can play around with the demo mode only.

Does anyone know how to code the blinkers to blink 5 times instead of 3 times using BimmerCode?

Also, can anyone help with activating the the “performance logo” and “logo variant” in the instrument cluster section? The 340i logo doesn’t display properly. It displays as “M300i” with the German phrase “placeholder” in white lettering on top of the display. Any suggestions on a fix for this?

I would love to know this as well. I even had a guy code my car the old-fashioned way and he couldn't get it to work despite several tries.

The feature/codability was apparently removed with the most recent software updates.

BMW just keeps deleting and removing more and more useful features. I don't get it. With the 19s you apparently can't code the Euro headlights because it's a different module.

Is there any f’n reason why? I tried it with all the other mode numbers to make sure it wasn’t just a fluke and they all work. I can get my readout to day I’m driving a 240i but not a 340i lol. I emailed bimmercode to see if they had any answers or solutions. I’ll let ou guys know if I find anything out.

I guess the question is whether it was BMW that removed the ability to code it or it was removed from the Bimmercode app. I assumed it was BMW that removed it since I couldn't get the guy that was cutting my car the traditional way to make it work.

Right. It just doesn’t make since because there’s still something in its place. It’d be one thing it wouldn’t let you put anything there at all, but there’s just as much space taken up by the wrong thing than there would be with the right emblem. I wonder if they took it off because the new top end performance model 3 series is going to be called the M340i?

Bimmercode worked like a charm for me. Below are the features I've "coded":

Active sound off.
Mirror folding/unfolding with comfort access and key fob.
Video in motion/USB media (keep radio on while doing this).
Door LED on while in reverse.
No horn when locking the car with engine running.
Rear fog lamp mod.
Front turn signal ambers on.
