The latest rumors is the only limitation will be production cycle of the current 2 series/M2 in general. There is speculation that the N55 engine is going away completely and that all future M2s will have detuned S55s. Something about emissions - I can't recall exactly.

Trying to find my daily after selling my 3er. Wanted to stay with BMW but due to BMW's current bad leasing numbers, been slowly inching towards the base Giulia for the short term.
We'll see how it goes.

I just bought an 18 S5 sportback. I dig it. Completely different animal though.

All guesses, most are predicting $5-$10K premium, and that this will be the only M2 sold for MY 2019+ (the jury is still out if a CSL will be produced in limited quantities as well).

I've been considering an i8. Any F80 owners have an i8 want to weigh in?

From early F80 to... what next?
For you 2015/2016 non ZCP M3 guys, now the cars are 3-4 years old and getting to EOP. The G80 is still a year or two away.
Besides the Alfa Quadrifoglio are there any good replacements for the F80 these days? Test drove a Model 3 Performance, the acceleration is great but interior materials are meh and can't swallow 75k for that car. Thinking about just getting a cheap VW Golf GTI to hold me over until the next gen. |

If you definitely want a G80 and looking for something to "hold you over" then get into an E90 M3 for 1 year, screw the GTI. The Alfa is amazing, just has some quirks including the infotainment. I wouldn't switch to it unless you love it.

Already had a E90 M3 (right before my F80), meh. I'm more worried about Alfa reliability and crappy service/dealer network.

I lease my cars so this may not apply to your situation.
My 2016 non-ZCP M4 was due to be turned in January 2019. I'd decided to lease a 2019 ZCP M4 and then get a 2022 G80 (or M4 version, G82?). However, my dealer had a pretty much optioned out 2018 M3 ZCP in its showroom for about a year and made me a good deal. Got that instead. Pretty happy and think it will serve me well until the next generation. |

I'm probably going to lease an M4 or look for a Cayman S.

I’m keeping the 15 m3 as long as I can. I love it too much.
I am replacing the X5M however, (never really connected with it) I ordered a 911 s, last of the 991.2s, final allocations for delivery in a few months.
