Marks steering wheel a little but not damaged. Like an imprint! Thieves will not bother with it on, one of the hardest to get off. Takes time.

I got a deal here before Xmas. No offers I can see, but still a good price. You just need the small one... https://www.carnoisseur.com/interior/disklok Hope this assists.

I bought my disklok in the 1990’s when I had a Sierra Cosworth, still works great now on my M3. I use the steering wheel rim protector that slides over first before putting the disklok on. As for comfort access I have it on both my cars and would spec it again. Just buy the £8 faraday pouches.

Bought the Disklok - already finding it awkward putting it on and removing lol!
Tried putting the keys in a tin to see if that would stop the key transmitting and that doesn't work - you need to wrap the whole key in foil to stop the signal - bought the Faraday pouch and that works. |

Any coder should be able to deactivate for you. Or, if you have the Bimmercode app along with a Vgate2 dongle, you can deactivate it yourself.
I like the CA function from a day to day perspective, but use the Faraday pouch at night

You can disable CA...
There is an option in iDrive to disable it. You still get keyless go but have to use the buttons to open the door. I would tell you how to do it but I no longer have my car to go through the menu looking I'm not sure if it is one of the options enabled when the car has been 'coded' EM |

Thanks guys - I thought the boot was meant to flip open when you press the boot release button or wave your foot along the bumper - mine just opens slightly. Previous BMW opened all the way - mentioned at the dealership and they said it was fine!

It's a bluetooth dongle that plugs into your OBD port and allows your phone/app to communicate with your car whilst coding.

If you have CA then yes the boot should pop right up if you have the fob in your pocket and wave your leg under the rear bumper. Shows you how to do it in the manual.
