I would love to hear the burbles more as i just picked up the car, do you hear it more in sport/sports plus mode with or without windows down? Whats the best way, press the gas and release the gas pedal when standstill or u can hear it loud during downshifts?
Just picked up the car 2 days back and hence the basic questions

Ya dude. I took a test drive on a brand new F82 at my local dealer before deciding on the car. It was just my wife and a "genius" with me in the car. Floored that sucker and hit 120 mph on that ride. We are all gonna get rid of these cars before there are any issues down the line anyway. How many of us are gonna keep the F8x past 100,000. Not many

I don't want to start another break in OT discussion. Let's just say the wifey and I have done a bunch of EDs and we blast out of the Welt onto the Autobahn and hit the limiter every time with ZERO issues. Im sure your ride is fine. Don't worry about it. Drive and enjoy |

I was thinking about skipping this option as well until i actually sat in a car with it. Ended up getting the comp package.. mineral grey, red interior with the chrome/black 20's. Havent looked back since. I love it. the wheels grew on me!

Question on seats... are the side bolsters on the ZCP adjustable? I know there isn't lumbar support adjustment, but wasn't sure if the adjustability of the bolsters was also removed. I'm coming from a 2015 non-ZCP f80.

I am in negotiations for a new M4 to replace my 2015.
I am considering the competition package but will have to test drive one before I make a decision. I definitely do not want 20" rims and am concerned about the ride quality. I have to admit I am gun shy after the "Pothole Explosions" episodes I had with my 2015 335i with RFTs and Sport Suspension. If I find the ride quality on the competition pack to be uncomfortable I will pass on it but I suspect that it will be acceptable.

PS - All BMW cars are driven on a test track prior to leaving the factory and all BMW engines are cold and warm bench tested. You can watch the videos on youtube and I was just at the munich factory and watched them drive the cars out to the track in batches of 5. That's not to say there aren't benefits from the 1200 mile service - that is without question. As for whether his theory is "correct" ... he certainly doesn't give a shit one way or another, but if it makes you feel better, go for it. Break it in for 5 years. Probably makes it last longer. And just to keep this on topic, I'm more/less following "break in" with my CP simply because I like build confidence that nothing is going to wing off and I understand the car. But I'd be lying if I said I was strict about it.
