Alcantara DCT boot

I was wondering has anyone installed an Alcantara boot for the standard DCT shifter? I know Black Forest has their replacement kit that changes the knob as well, has anyone tried to run just the boot on the stock knob? Really want something to cover up that circular plastic trim area under the knob.

Are you referring to the silver part that’s on the top and backside of the actual DCT shift knob? Some people run the DCT CF shift knob trim but most get the DCT CF shift knob + the CF-Alcantara gear selector base trim.
